Panic! At The Disco - Dying In LA Lyrics
The moment you arrived
They built you up
The sun was in your eyes
You couldn't believe it
You're walking
Stars are on the ground
You start to believe it
Every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you
You looked at death in a tarot card and you saw what you had to do
But nobody knows you now
When you're dying in LA
And nobody owes you now
When you're dying in LA
When you're dying in LA
The power, the power, the power
Oh the power, the power, the power
Of LA
Nights at the chateau
Trapped in your sunset bungalow
You couldn't escape it
Drink of paradise
They told you put your blood on ice
You're not gonna make it
Every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you
You looked at death in a tarot card and you saw what you had to do
But nobody knows you now
When you're dying in LA
And nobody owes you now
When you're dying in LA
When you're dying in LA
The power, the power, the power
Oh the power, the power, the power
Of LA

Panic! At The Disco Dying In LA Comments
Is it just me or can you hear Sarah talking at the very end during the bird noises
How to make this song more sad? Just sing it and think more about lyics and meaning your welcome :}
I cited! This song is amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭🥺💝💖💖💕💞💞❤️❤️💜💖💝💝❣️💘💗
This song describes the struggles of someone who came to Los Angeles to pursue their dreams, but ended up unsuccessful. It shows how many are captivated by the glamour and opportunities of the city when they first enter, only to be slowly broken down over time. It paints the picture of a person slowly losing hope and becoming who they promised they would never be in the city of broken dreams.
I audibly moaned when this song came on my playlist.
2020 anyone?
I can’t be the only one
Brendon: LA Devotee
Also Brendon: Dying in LA
Me: *confused screaming*
The LA Devotee is dead...
The prettiest panic at the disco song 😩
This song reminds me of my time in high school theatre. I made friends, opened up, created memories, fell in love. Then it all fell apart. Most of my friends abandoned me, those memories I once cherished now open old wounds, and my first love shattered me without ever knowing she had that kind of influence over me.
Plot twist, this song is about the LA Chargers.
*Talent show song?*
me having flashbacks to the concert: *sobs im semi-emo at 1:12AM*
my father: why tf you crying so damn loud?
This song is the saddest song ever.
I officially have listened to every single album by panic at the disco
The question is: HOW IS EVERY PANIC!SONG SOOOOOOOOO UNDERRATED???????!!!!!!!
*When you’re crying in LA*
Such an angelic voice👼👍
Crying At The Disco
I LOVE IT!!!!
*that shit hurted*
Someone please explain to me why this makes me so sad, and makes so much sense, yet it doesn't apply to my life at all.
Maeve Keller It makes sense because everyone has hopes and dreams and fears and you have to fight for those hopes and dreams and find a way to face the fears to have success.
His voice is so beautiful and soothing
reply on this comment means you like old panic songs and like this comment for new panic
Liking and commenting because I Love all of the albums. Don’t listen to P. O. as much as the others but still enjoy it. It is the only album I’ll skip a couple of the songs.
If you put every single Panic! song and every collaboration Brendon has done into a playlist you have hours and hours of fantastic songs that never get old. (Including 20 Dollar Nosebleed with FOB and C’Mon and Mercenary New Perspective and Love in the Middle of a Firefight and It Remembers etc.)
People need to stop comparing and competing old vs new Panic! and just enjoy it all because it is the history and tells the full story of the music. It is all intertwined with sounds and instruments and is all great.
Rob Mathes has been doing the instrumentals for Panic! since P. O. and Spencer was co-writing on Vices and Too Weird and I’m sure he still has some voice in the newer albums so it’s all still a joint effort and is not all Brendon.
Ryan and Jon quit and gave up and it needs to stop being blamed on Brendon.
Sorry for writing so much I just wish people would stop comparing old vs new.
this makes me cry 🥺
Poxa pq me fizeste chorar??
Me: **listening to this while crying my feelings out**
My alarm as this song for school
Me in morning: *yawns* *alarm starts to play* *Sings loudly that whole house is awake* *falls on floor* me realizing oh ahit ama get in trouble like everyday :DD
When Brendon Urie kills this song and every song and still isn’t a serial Killer
He so underrated. I love this dude so much and when I talk about Brendon Urie half the time they don't even know who he is.
flawlesschase That just means you have to get them to tell them about Brendon and Panic! and get them to listen and not just to one or two songs but to everything.
Do you know that moment When you're dying in LA after Another LA devotee?
I love this song
Is crying in public over a song appropriate social behavior?
G note warning
The moment you arrived they built you up
The sun was in your eyes
You couldn't believe it
Riches all around, you're walking
Stars are on the ground
You start to believe it
Every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you
You looked at death in a tarot card and you saw what you had to do
But nobody knows you now
When you're dying in LA
And nobody owes you now
When you're dying in LA
When you're dying in LA
When you're dying in LA
The power, the power, the power
Oh the power, the power, the power
Of LA
Nights at the chateau
Trapped in your sunset bungalow
You couldn't escape it, yeah
Drink of paradise
They told you "Put your blood on ice
You're not gonna make it"
Every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you
You looked at death in a tarot card and you saw what you had to do
But nobody knows you now
When you're dying in LA
And nobody owes you now
When you're dying in LA
When you're dying in LA
When you're dying in LA
The power, the power, the power
Oh the power, the power, the power

Every time I hear this song, I imagine a girl. A ballerina and she is dancing through LA at night~♡
Sorry for my English. ^^" I'm coming from Germany.
a girl at my school is in chorus and sang this...she fucking killed it
Can we just stop the world from turning for a minute to just appreciate this song
Brendon is such an amazing artist. My youngest introduced me to his music. I'm so glad she did.
Dr. Nick Redbone I heard Death of a Bachelor on the radio driving around with my kids and had to find out more. Now I own every album and my 15 year old is embarrassed because I’m more into Brendon and Panic! than she is.
Welcome to the parents who like Brendon club.
Meaning of dying in la

I’m crying, Panic at the disco helps me with a problem in rl with me, it makes it so much easier to do and it gives me hope I can get over it, I hope Brendon urie sees this and it makes his day, cause it makes mine ❤️😭
So... if "every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you"... then... wait a second. They're in LA, right? Well, people go to LA to make their dreams of being famous come true, but most people never do, so their dreams are broken. So, if they're on a boulevard... I guess it's a Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
I’m doing this song in my school talent show and I wanna be in the roof like what Brendon did
I get shivers just love all the songs ever by this band
I thought this album was crap but this song is amazing
I'm literally crying now
Here’s my idea for the music video:
It starts with a bus pulling away from a station and a young woman is seen. She starts looking around as the song starts (“the moment you arrived, they built you up”) and then she sees it: the largest billboard in LA and SHE is on it. Suddenly, the sun peaks out and she extends her arm out to shade her eyes from it (“the sun was in your eyes”). Then, she begins to realize she is finally becoming famous, and she truly has “made it” (“you couldn’t believe it”).
She then makes her way over to the Hollywood Walk of Fame (“riches all around, your walking stars are on the ground, you start to believe it”) and while she’s there, she runs into a young fan who asks for a picture with her (every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you”). She then realizes she has to be at the recording studio to record some of her songs (“you looked at death in a tarot card and you saw what you had to do”)
In the chorus, it cuts to Brendon playing this song on a piano and repeatedly cuts between Brendon and the young woman, who even covers Dying in LA, and every time it cuts between Brendon and the young woman, her growth is shown, as she opens for artists on tour, wins multiple awards, and is even featured on magazine covers. She is at the top of her career
However, paparazzi are everywhere and start becoming very intrusive to the point where the young woman falls into severe depression (“nights at the chateau, trapped in your sunset bungalow”) and she is even seen crying. Finally, she can’t take it anymore. She grabs a med bottle and swallows all of its contents.
She is then seen in a hospital bed. Her family walks in with the doctor right behind them, with the most solemn look ever, and says to her that she isn’t gonna make it (that part is self explanatory).
Her mom gets on her knee, reaches her hand out to her and starts crying. The woman looks at her, with a heartbroken smile on her face and says it will be alright (“every face along the boulevard is a dreamer just like you, you looked at death in a tarot card and you saw what you had to do”)
The scene then cuts back to Brendon for the second chorus, this time, accompanied by Kiara, Desiree, and Leah (the Wicked Strings). Once the instrumental starts, the woman’s grip loosens and her mother realizes her daughter’s life is at an end. She then starts crying with her husband over shoulder with tears forming in his eyes too.
As the instrumental slows down, the young woman’s life in LA is shown and how she never really lived a good life in LA. Finally, the scene cuts to the birds outside of the hospital (the birds at the end of the song)
This song is actually beautiful

1. This is gospel.
2. Dying in LA.
I asked my crush out and she said yes and then we talked for like 4 hours and when I went to go to sleep I wanted to listen to some music and this song came. I ducking exploded. That was one of the best nights ever
studio version of I can't make you love me please? :(
I always envisioned a music video for this to be the evolution of panic. At the beginning we get a small clip of panic pre fever in the studio for the first time and then brent, brendon, ryan, and spencer all sitting out watching the sunset as the song begins. We then see clips of panic through fever era as the song is playing. It plays fever era up until the beginning of the first chorus. Right before the first chorus we see rare video footage of the cabin they were staying in to make crickets and clovers and we see brendon, spencer, jon, and ryan all goofing around. The first chorus begins as pretty odd era is played out like fever. A few clips of music videos and a little bit of never before seen footage from around that era and some on stage clips (especially denver). That era ends. We see rare footage of ryden clips. Every other era pans out including all the other members. The newest panic members sit down in the same place as the ogs. And a sunset closes down as the song ends. I would literally cry at this
sad playlist activated
In my opinion, this is his best song hands down, plus its resinates closer to my heart(Being Born in LA)Hes got to release more songs like this, also FYI if you move out here dont let it eat you up,cause it will spit you out and get you to do bad things(happened to one of my old acting friends)
