Palmer, Robert - Get Outside Lyrics

If your vision is holding you
If you can't fathom out what to do
If you can't read what you write
If you find yourself waking in the middle of the night
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
If you can't decide what you wanna do
If you can't stand what people say to you
If you can't see when your eyes are open wide
If you ask yourself what your doing and there's no reply
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
If you're feeling crowded or out of tune
Yeah
I've been trying to swing this cat all day
But there ain't no room to move
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
If your vision is holding you
If you can't understand what people say to you
If you can't see when your eyes are open wide
If you ask yourself what you're doing and there's no reply
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside
The situation is
Outside
Get outside
Get outside
Get outside

Great song with Palmer and little feat. I like Palmer's voice on this one but I would like to hear Lowell sing it. It would have been more soulful

Smothered in funk; smooth bass and Lowell George on slide - R. Palmer belts out the soul from deep inside…epic tune.

Suffering post election blues in the US now...either way, we were going to have crap in office but we got the bigger pile. I'd move to another country if I could.

    don't blame you - so would I

    L.... L....

Check out Costa Rica. It's one of the coolest places on Mother Earth.

  12. r.... b....

Get off the drugs is his message,!

  13. M.... G....

Fair play, this is awesome... A guy I worked with put me onto Roberts early stuff coz he knew I was a fan of Little Feat....  he was onto something!!

    M.... G....

Robert Palmer fronting Little feat was one of the greatest musical pairings in history.

  14. D.... C....

His earlier stuff was the best. Got the first 4 albums when they were released.
Much purer than his later recordings.
Not knocking them but the first four were the best.

    D.... C....

Dave Couldn't agree more!!!..Just like every musician he had to make music that would speak to the masses ...That used to make me crazy in my younger years ..Always thinking ...Oh they sold out or he sold out , how could they do that...But as I got older I understand it now...If that's your proffesion and that's all you know then you have to put food on the table and he was definitely one of the older members of the MTV artists & being in the industry as long as he was he understood that the clock was ticking ..And all though he is known for his iconic videos with those girls in the background ( THAT EVERY FEMINIST IS TRIGGERED BY )..Fuck Em!!!!.. LMAO.... HIS catalog of music will always stand the test of time .. Especially this album and songs like this which is my personal Favorite...When I found this CD I played the shit outta it!!!!...LOL!!!!

    D.... C....

Dave C Agree! I think the first three of his albums are a brilliant funky trilogy! Especially brilliant is the song Spanish Moon!

  15. l.... ....

You put together so much of His great work... but what about "I Didn't Mean To Turn You On?"

  16. A.... S....

I was 4 when this came out. I knew all the words to every track in a very short time. My mom loved this record. Played it every time my dad left the house. ;p

  21. J.... A....

Right on! Thanks for posting this! My CD is packed away. Oh, my Robby.

  22. B.... H....

Love the earlier stuff befor he changed styles

  23. H.... ....

Interesting comments. "Boscoe's" comment is spot on, Lowell provided a real influence here. "mindyspark"...if you were into this at 13, you were truly ahead of your time. Very nice.

  24. B.... F....
