For anyone who isn't sure, this song is about depression. They actually dedicated this song to Chester. Probably my favorite song of theirs.

I feel like palisades are getting better overtime, unlike lots of bands lately. they knew how to mature and put out the best album they ever recorded, and one of the best albums so far in 2017

To me, the song is about depression and anxiety; the way it sinks in when the lights go out and the constant fear of suicidal thoughts, struggling to find something you care about, internally screaming, just wishing someone would reach out and make everything better.

It is about suicide. Lou made mention of that prior to singing it at the show i just went to in Rockford, IL. He specifically made a shout out to his personal favorite Chester Bennington. RIP

Paul Denney I saw them in concert and I almost cried when he mentioned Chester bc this song is basically about him.

It is about depression, Lou talks about it a lot when he talks about this song. Especially before they start playing it at shows. After Chester Bennington's death it's been dedicated to him at every show

I feel this on a personal level

yep. this song at first seems like Lou talking to a specific person, but eventually it's obvious that he's talking to his audience in general. It's a general wake-up-call for those afflicted by depression... not necessarily something to cure those afflicted, mind you... more like him saying "hey, is it dark in your room? We feel it too."

I think palisades really found a definitive sound for this album you could tell they were hinting at this in some songs of mind games but they really couldnt capture it in that album because that album was still a transition phase maybe but whole this album has been on repeat for like a whole goddamn week

Great album! But where the hell is brandon elgar? He's a very talented vocalist but man he's really missing in this album. When he joined palisades i was so psyched thinking that he may share vocal duties with lou...Guess i was wrong.

ATTAK While I loved ETGUH, I thought something was missing. IMO wade was better in the will the way. Hopefully LP4 sounds like the ascent, fragile figures and waste away combined!
