Ozzy Osbourne - Little Dolls Lyrics

[Daisley - Kerslake - Osbourne - Rhoads]

Wrything and screaming
The pain just won't go
He'll show you no mercy
Your image in his hands
It's useless to try
Escaping his curses

The pins and needles prick the skin of little dolls

Tortured and flaming
You give birth to hell
Living a nightmare
Feelings of pity
You'll pray for your death
But he's in no hurry

The pins and needles prick the skin of little dolls

Nowhere to run
Your fate is in his hands
Your time has come
You'll live to his command
I'm warning you
The worst is yet to come
The killer who
Remains a mystery

I that believe in
The stories of old
Would never fight it
Vengeance and curses
That play on your soul
Like something ignited

You never imagined
Such a fate could follow you
(You never thought it was true)
And when it's your time
I wonder how you'll do
Your kind of troubles
Running deeper than the sea
You broke the rules
You've been a fool
The little doll is you, yeah

Nowhere to run
Your fate is in his hands
Your time has come
You'll live to his command
I'm warning you
The worst is yet to come
The killer who
Remains a mystery

Wrything and screaming
The pain just won't go
He'll show you no mercy
Your image in his hands
It's useless to try
Escaping his curses

Nowhere to run
Your fate is in his hands
Your time has come
You'll live to his command
I'm warning you
The worst is yet to come
The killer who
Remains a mystery

4:30 The outro solo! So dreamy and beautiful!

  10. Horse Radish

3:08 on is my personal favorite 30 seconds from either of the two Randy + Ozzy records

  11. Based Degenerate

My favorite song on this album and a hidden classic. The perfect blend of Randy melodically slaying the dragon while Ozzy gets to sing about sick bastards.

  12. Jeff Davis

This album was so incredibly brilliant for the time even listening to it in 2019 it’s still a moving album

  13. Fawk Yuu

Happy birthday Ozzy Randy and Me..1st week of December birthdays👌😎🚬♐🔥

  16. Screaming Lemon

    The metal must live on!

  17. Lance Shepler

Anyone else mystified by Randy Rhodes playing in 2019???

    Satanic E.T.

I thought he was dead! But Rhoades is really fucking spectacular at what he does! His riffs just really everything is well done!

    Ed Griffin

One of the greats of all time.

    Lance Shepler

@Satanic E.T. he unfortunately is gone from us. And the story behind it is even more horrifying. But his memory and playing will live on!🤘

  18. Lance Shepler

And fuck Bernie Sanders! God i hate that ad!!👎👎👎

  19. SlyStonedTuna

Not the original drums intro. The original sounded like a drummer in the army or something

    vic lagina420

no shit , the bitch cunt Sharon had the band rerecord it so she wouldn't have to pay royalties any more

  20. Dylan Nicolodi

Interesting fact about this song, they were so rushed to finish the album that Randy never got a chance to add an actual solo! What you hear is a “place holder” for a solo that Randy never got to write.

  21. Shellie Bray

Amazing this was released in 1981 and it is just as tantalizing now as it was then. Rock on People!!!!

  22. Bruce Davis

You never imagined such a fate could follow you.....you never thought it was true

    Westside Warrior

Spooky .... Who else understands the lyrics? Do people/fans realize what is being told here?

  23. shawn madden

  25. Rusty Kuntz

When the bridge of the song comes in @ 2:08...so beautiful

  26. Frozen Divots

Sometimes a ‘rushed’ work is better...doesn’t allow the artist to over tinker with things. DOAM is a masterpiece.

  27. JEFF FOX

I miss the 80s best music ever and this album rocks 4 ever!!!

  28. Starbird 11

    Aldridge man, Aldridge

One of the greatest Guitar work albums ever. RIP Randy your legacy will live on forever. Why replace Over the Moutain with BOC Don't fear the Reaper.

  61. Frank Schrodinger

Rhodes and van halen...I’m not their biggest fan but they’re definitely the main progenitors of that archetypal 80s metal guitar sound

  62. MrMW2nd

A truly wicked tone holy fuck

  63. Daryl Moon

This song has such a great bridge. Just takes the song to a new place.

  64. Vanei Pontes

  65. ChaosTrident

Man nothing like being 14 feeling no one understands you. And then you put this record on in 1985 sit and sing, bang my head get chills listening to Randy. Yet times were easier.

  66. James Lonergan

Awesome album. It would have been interesting to see what randy could have done today.

  67. JacksonGeetarguy 97

Fuckin incredible. That lick he did at 1:50. Incredible. I bet Randy would make a girl piss herself if he played that in front of one.

3-5-1982. Pine bluff AR. Diary of a madman. I was there. Best of the best. Just saying

  75. theblizzardofoz3

It was mid January 1982 - I had just turned 12 years old about a week earlier.... About 20 of us were at this chicks basement where we all hung out after school sometimes and somebody put this record on...side 2.... Little Dolls, ratta tatta tatta tatta Tat tat tat,,, I was across the room and my neck snapped around towards the hi-fi haha What a relic that thing was! The drums though were banging out something I had never imagined they could do..and the guitar screams in AND THEN!??? that VOICE!!! Who the fuck is this I asked?!?!?!? I was gonna murder someone if they didn't tell me right that second. I bee-lined towards the giant record player/ china cabinet thing. I had found my soul mate OZZY lol.... I had never ever heard of him before. (I'm an only child so I didn't have a big bro to show me Sabbath). I rocked out till the end of the song, dumbfounded, fascinated. Then the magical "Tonight" swept me away. "S.A.T.O" the guitar solo had my jaw on the floor. Diary of a fucking MADMAN!!!????? I thought I was gonna jiz in my pants and when it finished I was screaming play it again, play it AGAIN and my buddy says. Dude wait till you hear side 1!!! :o

"Over the mountain", "Flying High Again", You cant kill R&R,,,, Believer!! Ya I have bin a lifer ever since. All Ozzy! Sabbath! I can honestly say from the very first note I ever heard, I have been spellbound by the Prince of Darkness. 37 years later he is still pretty much all I listen to, with some Maiden, Priest and Zepplin splashed in to shake things up. Some Godsmack once in awhile to bring me a little closer to the millennium.

I thank the rock gods every day that I found him when I was so young. I'll never forget that moment as long as I live. I still remember what the room looked like when I first heard him and I am still friends with that chick (Tracey). God bless Ozzy and every musician who ever played with him, he only ever has the best! Especially Randy! I get very emotional when I hear his playing and I fantasize about what else they would have created had they had the chance. I mostly listen to old Sabbath now (for about the past 15 years,) the whole band are basically freaks of nature, but when I go Ozzy solo it is definitely D.O.A.M

  76. Steve Mitchell

Of all the tracks on this insanely good album, this sleeper is the one I love best. Even Over The Mountain doesn't top it for me - and that's saying something. Randy's chops are just huge and savage here. He gets so much feeling out of the relatively simple riffs, squealing at all the right spots. And Ozzy's lyrics are poignant and thought provoking. Not an overly complicated song, but a truly great one. Those thundering drums at opening and that first slide down power chord are just massive. And it only gets better from there!! A real ass-kicker.

  77. James Dio

    Victory Lap

  78. James Dio

Glad John and I aren't hanging out yet.

I remember where I was when I heard about the plane crash that took the worlds best guitarist, I was getting out of a car going to see a movie. I don't remember the movie. I do remember getting home from movie and crying.

  84. Bryan Morgan

Gotta make a comment , this year of diary and zeppelins the song remains the same..as a friend gave to me, pivotal yet fuck yeah n a party sense, 13.. just made sense, i leapt off this as a musician. Haven't looked back, only to listen. Masters.

  85. ted kaczynski

ozzy is probably the least talented artist on this album

  86. sock's bulletins

i love randy's solo in this so much...

    BackSydePhilth

sock's bulletins I hear you it’s nothing super fancy but every time I hear it I get chills.

  87. Brandon Mayo

I get lost and Randy's riffs! Instant chill bumps! And oh my God those bass lines! Bob Daisley was a genius!

  88. christopher perry

Randy plays that outro lead Solo like

  89. Anthony A

Used to ignore the B-side of the Diary album; however, I listened through it a couple times and now like all 4 of the songs!

  90. chris van allsburg

This whole album is a step down from Blizzard, but only a half-step.

  91. White Lion

Too bad this doesn't get enough turns on the airwaves, not even on the jukeboxes, too good of a song

  93. Deaf2Demands

I think Diary Is just a bit edgier than Blizzard. Love them both.. Can you imagine another Ozzy w/ Randy after this that would have prob came out in '83 /84 ? If Randy would not have passed...

    Steve Mitchell

I totally agree. Fucking small aircraft...damn them to hell. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ronnie Van Zant, Big Bopper, Rich Valens, and Buddy Holly. They've taken so many from us. And possibly worst of all...Randy Rhoads. He was just getting warmed up. Little shrimp was way just leagues ahead of most. Such a classy player too. Beautiful or beastly...he could play it all.

  94. Deaf2Demands

    I love this song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  95. BLOODCUTTERS CREW MUSIC AND GANGSTER RAPPING

I think if randy was still around he would be in the Steve vai spot i think he was top

  96. Kevin Bowman Studio’s.

Rudy Zarzo played bass Rudy Sarzo play the bass

    Randy Winebrenner

    not on the album

    Mike Jacobs

Even though they toured and where pictured on the album. Rudy sarzo and tommy Aldridge did not play on the album. Sharon fired dasiley and kerslake because they weren't getting paid and they started complaining. She brought in Rudy and tommy because they were less expensive. All facts

  97. David M

You never imagined such a fate could follow you.....you never thought it was true
