Owens, Buck - Take Me Back Again Lyrics

Each new day brings heartaches by the number
A memory of things that used to be
And each night alone I remember those kisses
That your lips once gave to me.

Take me back again, make me live again
Say those things you used to say to me
Kiss these lips of mine just like old times darling
Take me back again, again, again.

Day and night my love for you grows stronger
Every hour is filled with thoughts of you
And though you say that you love me no longer
That won't stop my arms from wanting you.

Take me back again, make me live again
Say those things you used to say to me
Kiss these lips of mine just like old times darling
Take me back again, again, again...

Having worked for Buck at one of his country radio stations in the past I can say that it was standard practice for Buck to overdub his vocals.  So yes, he essentially was singing with himself.  However, he and Don Rich did recorded many song together where they harmonized.  He was one talented artist.....and the Buckaraoo's a great band it its day

This doesn't compare with his original release on his 1961 album.
This would be Pre- Buckaroos , with Ralph Mooney on steel.

I'd like to see the sesson credits on this song.. Somehow, I have the feeling that Buck sings harmony with his own track.. The harmony track doesn't seem to have the Don Rich "Flair" that Don would add to that song if he were doin it.. Just my opinon, of course..

If the Congress and Senate of The U.S. did as much for the country as Buck Owens did for country music, we'd all be driving Cadillacs! He was a stellar talent with an amazing band.
