I have to go along with you on this, Ukes. Mark's version is okay, but it is just that. It sounds like a cut from an old Monkees album that was never released as a single and just faded into obscurity. Pomplamoose's version was more like what Diana Krall would have done with it. Sultry; jazzy; simple; emotional. Just IMHO.

@SuperMoonwalker1997 This song, like SO SO SO many others, does not benefit from the highly compressed overproduction given to it. (makes it sound much like all the other forgetable pop music we have been subjected to throught the years) The POMPLAMOOSE treatment has stripped the song to it`s very essence, and has revealed more of it`s charm. A good reason many "Unplugged" sessions have been so successful in the past.

I think that this is great, but the cover that Pomplamoose did is much more to the spirit of the lyrics. I find it hard to get in deep with this version after being so spoiled by the beauty of Pomplamoose's.
