Watched the entire thing for Mackenzie & Jake. Great actors! Love them as a couple in real life, too!!! This song hits a bit flat for me, though. On one side, I'm a huge fan of the original - so I really do like Jakes tipping of the hat to such a rock n roll classic. And the story and intention of it all is great! On the other side - I absolutely loath the "talk/rap" feel of the verses. Makes it feel so cheesy. I feel like there was a tremendous amount of effort placed on the video and story - but this song doesn't stand up on it's own, in my opinion. The chorus is fun - but the verses are just lacking. Sorry, Jake! Can't help but feel like there was something a bit better, had you have just dug a tad deeper on this one.
