@seb Feel the fire is like less than 1\3rd of KIMB, only a stupid retard would think otherwise. And qualitatively Overkill was never on par with early exodus or Testament(even though they formed earlier). Bonded by blood smokes Feel the fire out of the water as well in terms of 1985 debuts. They were just another 2nd rate generic thrash band ripping off several instances from their 1st wave contemporaries and thats about it.

In terms of the full body of work when it comes to "thrash metal" they are one of the best along with Megadeth and Slayer.
Metallica sort of went hard rock on us ( which is ok if that's what they wanted) I don't think anthrax is that good but Overkill keeps on giving us fantastic music.
But I'm sure their underrated because they use alot of tempo and time changes in their music so I'm sure musicians appreciate their music more than the average fans because of it. " Thrash" fans seem to want to keep the high speed tempo constantly
But just my opinion others will disagree but absolutely my favorite "thrash" band
BTW I'm 50 years old now and I was in highschool when it all started.

Yeah it's a sound that they haven't been able to recapture.  Their newest albums are really good too.  DD Verni has one of the best bass tones.  It's crisp, clear and thunderous.

Black sabbath was recorded in 1969 released in 70, into the void 71. Candlemasses epicus doomicus metallicus came out in 1986. So where did you get the idea that doom metal wasn't a thing until almost the 90's exactly?
