Overkill - Feed My Head Lyrics

Talk is cheep
I can't afford the price of wasted time
Who will reap the profit of the lie?

Fantasy
Illusion fusion impressions of a high
Sacred is the being of the lie

Drawn is a picture of myself
It's all that I see leaving
Gone are the cries I heard for help
The mirror spits reflections of a lie

Are you waiting for a chance?
Won't happen standing in the rain

Damage done
The truth is drowning in a sea of hate
Wet, they wear the fiction like a badge over their hearts

Drawn is a picture of myself
It's all that I feel bleeding
Gone are the cries I made for help
The mirror spits reflections of a lie

Feed my head, I'm hungry for a lie

Be sure and teach your children well
To use it pure and slow
Be sure they teach their children
Be sure the children's children

Slight of hand, slight of word
Slight to believe the absurd
Feed my head, I'm hungry
I'm hungry for a lie

Drawn is a picture of myself
It's all that I see grieving
Gone are the cries I made for help
The mirror spits reflections of a lie

Feed my head of a lie
Feed my head reflections of a lie
Feed my head
Feed my

part between 3:23 - 4:18 must be one of the most underrated things in metal. Literally impossible not to headbang to this. The drums, the heavy as hell riff... This is something else!

Pretty sure your ears don’t work, at all, whatsoever, in the slightest. This album is pretty terrible, and I love Overkill.

Hello From The Gutter... we've been expecting you.

  17. C.... ....

@Diamhea You want an Overkill album with paper thin guitar tone listen to Years of Decay (still love that album but production wise it does lack quite a bit of punch) by comparison I Hear Black definitely features much heavier guitar sound.

    C.... ....

Feel The Fire's guitar sound is heavier for God's sake

    C.... ....

@Dustin Potter I agree I don't know what the fuck this guy is talking about. The production may not be perfect but the guitar tone heavy as hell.

    C.... ....

Hell yeah. Other Overkill albums suffered from thin production until Years Of Decay.

    C.... ....

Just saw this... yeah TYOD has that "late 80s thrash" sound to it with the weak as piss guitar sound.... Horrorscope rules all.

    C.... ....

I love overkill but come on man....they’ve never been much in the massive tone department even when Bobby G. was in the band. The years of decay was recorded in the exact studio that Cowboys From Hell was recorded in and the same producer. Pantera basically used those studio settings for that album. So the only difference was the equipment used. Overkill never used a strong guitar sound ever.

  18. S.... ....

The best song on the most underrated album!

    S.... ....

    Totally agree!!

  19. D.... ....

I still dig it too, I wish it was heavier. The main riff on this song would be so crushing....oh well.

  20. q.... ....

I can see what you're saying in relation to other albums. But this was the first Overkill album I was turned on to. It will always feel as thunderous as it did that first week I played it non-stop. At the time I had nothing to compare it to, as far as other Overkill works.

And it's more the riffs that get my blood pumping than the actual guitar sound/setup.

  21. D.... G....

gotta be the best thrash band still around

  22. D.... ....

Really? The guitars are paper thin and the drums pacified as all hell, at least compared to their other albums.

  23. q.... ....

LOVE the drum sound on this album. And of course the thundering guitars !!! No need to mention the powerful lyrics and killer all around kickass-ness of one of the most underrated bands/albums ever.

    Badass shit right here.

  24. M.... G....

    this shit is good
