Our Lady Peace - In Repair Lyrics
Well it's good to know that you'll be okay
I've been waiting for this
And I'll be there to sit
While you pray no one's blaming me
I'm not supposed to wait
I have been good
I understood
Like a machine they'll fix you from the start
I'm in repair
The life that we share
I know that I'll be lost in
But we're always in repair
Lock the door, lock the door
From this car crash nightmare
And I'll be there to help you again
There's no danger
We're just killing time again
When they order up new parts
I have been good
I understood
Like a machine they'll fix you from the start
I'm in repair
The life that we share
I know that I'll be lost in
But we're always in repair
Take this time to figure it out
Know the wire, the fuse, the things that you doubt
The wheels, the air, the metal, the mouth
Something, something, something
I have been good
I understood
Like a machine they'll fix you from the start
I'm in repair
The life that we share
I know that I'll be lost in
But we're always in repair
Take this time to figure it out
The wire, the fuse, the things that you doubt
The wheels, the air, the metal, the mouth
Something, something, something

Our Lady Peace In Repair Comments
Am affraid that they wont like US and what we are doing with our planet. I think they gonna see us more like a cancer in this beautifull world planet offered to us so kindly. Am Not Gretta but i think even a machine with émotion could be angry at us for mistreatement for our planet, the animals and ourself fighting hurting killing. WHORST idéa they would be concient and i would say they are right to erradicate us ! if we keep this life going on like it is. chain of life.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPe2Xn3emcs Yes i am watching this wonderfull world beeing ruined . Year 2020 ! Human kind grown up taking care of all living things. Bees and ants are now protected cause they are realy important in this living world.

What happened?! I didn't deserve this life... kids taken, wife wanted more... scout.
Remember when Muchmusic ran music vids and not old sitcoms and movies? Channel is a disgrace now.
the year is 2020... the machines are taking human form..
I don't understand the tears I'm shedding...
This song and video gives me goosebumps every time
This song was a part of my childhood. Canada had some really good bands back in the 90's and early 2000's.
I feel like I’m on drugs watching this
I love how this was made
the opening of this song seems to be referring to "people" on twitter
shame that a unique video like this has so few views
I remember my older sister had this cd when I was younger. I used to always look at the booklet and the artwork used to freak me out
Thumbs down shitty ad always
I just spent 2 hours going over OLP's discography. Jezuz these guys were good
Amazingly unique video ❤❤
Do androids dream of electric sheep?
(I know its a different book shut up)
Everyone complains about the current music industry now but had no qualms about benefiting from cheaper faster music technology that basically killed the industry as we knew it.
I regret not picking up this cassette tape when it came out. Just downloaded it finally, better late than never.
Definitely one of my favorite Our Lady Peace songs. Can't wait to see them for the first time live tomorrow in Denver.
♥️🤘
Probably their most ambitious album. And definitely their last "classic" one. They were such a great, quirky band back in the day.
Has anyone figured out what is said at 2:42 ?
Until they no longer need us to repair them!
I miss Mike Turner OLP so fucking much
Saw this on MuchMusic when I was like 10 and it gave me my first existential crysis about the imminence of death... That's pretty rock'n'roll. OLP are underrated.
Who's the female voice that I can hear?
Not only cause it's a Canadian artist but as a 44 year old on this planet, this is one of my favourite songs ever!
The year is high school. The Our Lady Peace CD got broken.
The year is 2018. Marilyn Manson said the Our Lady Peace CD would get broken and it did. (In my delusional schizophrenic world.) Don't worry: Billy Corgan took the hit, because OLP is just that worth it!
Legal Disclaimer: I am delusional and a drug addict.
Sorry to hear that, the good news is that you're functional enough to type comments on vids so... there's that 👊
Most under rated band in Canada... Saw these guys In London Ontario mid 2000s and defently one of Canadas unrated bands specialy all they did for the community & world in that fact.
10 years to go, its 2019 and the writing is on the wall Humanity.
Embrace it. It's our destiny. It always has been.
2029 isnt so far away... will the machines be self aware? Will they convince us ? Food for thought ... love this tune
When I was way back I live in Canada I used to listen to Helena beats one man army inrepair let her go and some blink182 songs
I know I used to listen to this music way back this is taking me back
A glimpse of the matrix

We may have caught a ghost in the machine

Spiritual Machines was my absolute favorite OLP album of all time.
mine too, it grew to be my favorite, I love the whole album and concept
It's been almost 2 decades? Crazy...
I still love there older stuff like this song
2029 is the estimated date when machines willbe able to do every job better than human's. Strange thing for a music video to prophecize
Jeez, this song gives me such chills. It's message is becoming more and more relevant.
Does anyone know whats being said starting at 2:42?
Still rock'n to this in 2029!
11 years left boys
Listening in feb 2018
This song speaks miles to anyone that suffers with mental illness. *ALWAYS IN REPAIR*
TheGhjgjgjgjgjg I can relate
Correct...
This song, this video... perfection.
fucking awesome video to watch after a tasty joint!! Still love OLP!!
These days, I keep seeing humans who fail to think for themselves and fail their own Turing test who think that they are real humans but behave as mere livestock.
Dynamic song 🤘
When people talk about OLP this is what I think of- The weird, strange, oddball of a band that was different. I miss this. Especially the sentiment of what could have been after this album.
A shame this album was this band's zenith, only to kick Mike Turner out of the band, and go on to years of formulaic music, sometimes broken by some great tunes, but nothing as dynamic and cogent as what came before. The Arnold Lanni produced albums were great. When they changed producers, they ruined their appeal. In my opinion.
This goes out to my main bass guitar in the shop until friday. Clouseau's got a fucked up ground wire.
OLP attempt at a Radiohead song circa OK Computer.
slavek p. There was a fascination of what 2000 would bring. Many thought of aliens,biomechanics,etc... I could see how its theme hits close to "ok computer" but even closer to the book "the age of spiritual machines" which it was loosely based on.
I love the album/video art. so awesome and creative
OOOOhhh i still LOOOOVE this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Memeber Our Lady Peace! Yeeeaaahhhhh! I memeber youtube........I member.
The year is now 2017 and this is still the most illustrative video
OLP is underrated
So is your mom.
Thank god I'm high for this video
whos listening to this in 2029 ???? are robots ruling us yet???
Ryan Shordee Mankind is currently divided. The Machines are the advocates of peace in this war.
Yeah, but at least we're alive. I'll keep fighting ti the end of my days. Wish me luck.
Only 399,920 views? Wtf is wrong with people, this song is amazing!
The year is 2029.
The machines will convince us that they are conscious, that they
have their own agenda worthy of our respect.
They'll embody human qualities and
claim to be human, and we'll believe them
Thanks, I missed that from the *fucking video* ..lol
10 years.... not so far-fetched when you think about it
@Dream Girls Daily #Oooof
Robots could embody everything good in our society ever.
Did you hear about the Google A.I which taught itself chess and crushed the strongest chess engine?
Something about this song reminded me of naveed(which was my favourite song for a long time). I know they sound totally different I can't quite put a finger on it.
i use to listen to this BRILLIANT album all the time!!! summer of 2001 i think.....really great underrated a bit too other than the life single
Rip Ilana, I love and miss you
Love these albums
Such an interesting tune and flow!!! Love it!
😍 1 ov my favz!!!!
fuck you
maybe this is how the world really looks for those with eyes to see
This song triggers memories of an incredibly difficult time. It cuts me to the core. Great song
Exactly the same for me. The images in this along with the song conjure up a lot of difficult moments in my past.
Back when they were good. Man this album was sublime....I really thought it was a sign of greater things to come - greater experimentation...and then Mike Turner leaves and is replaced by a functional if not very creative Steve Mazur. Raine sure likes to complain about certain records being crap written for the sole-purpose of gaining airplay, but it sure doesn't stop him from continuously selling out. R.I.P. O.L.P.
Cried at the concert Friday when they played this. Such a good song.
cried as well on the Saturday when they played
And I cried on Wednesday in Halifax when they played it. Nice to know we're all together in our emotional response to their songs no matter where we are.
Same, October 15th for me. Such a brilliant band, I'll never understand how they didn't make a far larger impact globally.
Really hoping they come to Australia someday, I'm sure I would have the same reaction as this song has been monumental for me over the last decade.
One of my favourite OLP tunes!
Probably my favorite from OLP which is odd cause I didn't like it when it first came out. Now I love it. Like a fine wine, it got better with age.
Agreed. I think part of the albums appeal though is the introspective and over time it gets through to you
I think this album gets finer as one ages. These aren't typically things younger people like to talk about in the open. A lot of us are in repair and the song also reminds me of Annie which is another favorite song of mine.
I feel the same way about this band.
It was really overplayed when it first came out. Although, 18 years later, I heard it on a music station and realized it's actually a pretty good song. I like the lyrics!
Agreed.
another amazing track that kinda got lost in the clutter of everything during this time period. This is one of my fav tunes by OLP. You really feel the chorus...everything flows perfectly. Good song writing.
I love OLP. This song brings back so many good memories.
I think I've listened to this atleast 10 times a day for the past month... love it.
Such a profound song. Gives me shivers, every time.
I have been good. I AM in repair as we speak. This is the best OLP song. Really. I like Starseed too.
Absolutely Amazing. So sad OLP sold out with their next album Gravity. Yeah a few good songs but nothing like this or anything they put out previously. However I think i'm the only person who really likes their "Curve" album.
I liked everything OLP did up to AND INCLUDING 2002.
Gravity had some good songs, namely the ones co written by Mike Turner but everything before and the latest stuff like Curve is what OLP is all about to me!
i love the fat kitty in the start
This is a good song when you're dope sick.
omg im already fucking sobbing cathartic tears listening to music from my youth. then i read this.
i hope you got well, man.
First album I ever bought 8-9 years old haha
Does anyone feel like this song inspired the story for SOMA?
+Game It All interesting theory.
Game It All SOMA?
i'm high and watching this from my past. there's truth to this song. i had a new born son. without thinking to deep into this mess, olp brings me peace.
My legs are In Repair, because of all the futile walking.
for me growing up in the mid 90's in Canada; it was eminem my name is, Our Lady Peace In Repair, matthew good band strange days.. that is my childhood..
One headlight was one of the essentials for me during that era as well as the ones you mentioned
Funny, this album didn’t come out til 2000
I didn't even grow up in Canada. But so close to the border that these bands feel like home to me.
Ytv was god tier and Mtv had good cartoons
Bro are you me?
if i was proud of OLP i'd be in 1993
Still love this vid
only 300k views? One of my olp favorites!
the first time i ever smoked weed and got high, i came home and saw this on much music
and was tripping balls hahah
i will never forget that
such a trippy video, when those cog wheels spin and get bigger i thought they were coming out the tv and i nearly jumped off the couch! xD
CorkySherman It's glorious
I feel like I'm always in repair with these low back issues. The beginning of the end happened with 3 surgeries over four years and been problematic ever since! Wrap up the latest round of physical therapy this month. Cheers!
