Origin - Cascading Failures, Diminishing Returns Lyrics
Vivid depths of hate and despair
Ever doubting mortality
Collecting a myriad of self indulgent experiences
Eventually none will be left to see
Delusion claiming an autonomy over fetishizing misery
Pain is a wave whose crest never breaks
Endless chasing the synaptic responses to releases of dopamine
The tide of memory recedes
What's left is arid waste
Where wisdom is an over-acumulation of failures of the past
And of the present
The future is lost
The seed of self awareness / Is a husk
That only seeks to preserve / Linear thought
The loss and curse of reason / Patently
Emboldens the suffering that we wreck
No words exist to cut the / Threat of time
All actions burned into unbroken lines
A slow descent into dementia
Undermines the will to power
What's done is done
There's no repentance
For acts of desperation
There is a crack / In everything
But no light gets in

this is definitely a good year for metalheads 🤘🤘
The hardest to render video I've ever seen. Poor graphics card.
Yeah that's cool and all, but can you play Photograph?
4:19... gotta sec? LMMFAO
Still waiting on the UNPARALLELED UNIVERSE tablature book!!!
I thought this band would be heavier with a more mountainous bass tone, but it just weirdly sounds disconnected, and the huge overtones kinda overshadows the actual playing itself. Interesting case where a bigger bass tone actually makes it a bit less heavy, sounds a lot more disconnected. Quality song, but not a fan of this change in approach, whereas I'd welcome this change in most cases. Odd case.
This is good album. Not just on level of Echoes of decimation and Antithesis. Can't really pinpoint why.
Cannibal Rings!
This isn't bad i just think their first vocalist was the best. Miss that guys vocals. Informis infinitas inhumanitas is still my favorite album by them.
So you guys are saying that old Origin are better
Wow! Theyre that good?
Brutal drum based on machine gun sounds......
Fuckin love 01:31 part - shits so sick
STILL MISSING JAMES LEE ON VOCALS (echoes of decimation & antithesis).
I don't get why they let Mike's bass lines get buried in the mix.
I could never get into this type of metal. it feels so soulless, robotic, pig squeeze ewww, mehhhhh
yeah, this shit fucken sucks
flat earth
high class horrible and a shitty production...less soul in music is definetely not possible.!!
I agree, possibly one of the most boring bands in the metal world. IMO.
GodsColdHands right? it's like okay. we get it, you can blast beat and do scales. no catchy riffs, no soul, no emotion, robotic lame shit. over hyped by mannequins
GodsColdHands let me guess you're a deathcore fan
what ever happened to real metal like six feet under
I am curious. There's a japanese band which claims the most BPM, but this sounds like it's faster in parts. Time to do some counting!
Immorpher i tapped along with my metronome, it's about 270 bpm
Immorpher at least for the first 2 minutes that is
Dark Funeral has like a 290-300bpm song on their new album, it's called "As One We Shall Conquer".
fastest band ever? most technical? not sure which is which on these metal sub genre's, but i consider this extreme metal. love it.
damn...love it !!!
👽👾🚀 Fucking Metal rules!\♍/
fuckyou
This is a catchy song
this is one of the best metal bands
i have the hope that music gets great again
just listened to korns and rings of saturns new songs and now this one
sound quality are a crap
the extremism of this is incredible, Also I love the outro, it is so black metal \m/
That outro is the best part
dying fetus is still destroying it
The outro is fucking epic!!! =o
Man I swear these guys are possibly the best band to represent the term " Extreme chaotic Technical death metal" Many bands like Brain Drill, Rings of Saturn, Archspire and monumental torment have tried it but failed , just by a little bit. These guys know how to write, yet remains super technical. That's Talent !
I agree, this takes me back to classic Origin. Me likey.
Origin NEVER cease to amaze the shit out of me!
As much as I absolutely love Origin, I gotta say, this is total self-plagiarism. The tremolo riff at 1:30 is essentially identical to a riff on 'The Aftermath.' Actually, it's almost identical to several Origin songs. I'm going through their disco and it's shocking just how recycled this new song is.
Huge shame. Echoes.. is one of my top five all-time death metal albums (and I have over a thousand on CD, nevermind what i've listened to online/downloaded) but this sounds like a total lack of ideas. Starting to question my pre-order package.
I like how this drummer can play at a high speed and it's totally locked in with the guitars. No slop.
I am a little out of the loop. Is this Longstreth still on drums? Either way.....This is badass Fo ShO
Bill Cow yes. listen to Antithesis and Entity and you will be able to notice the difference in his drumming compared to the Echoes of Decimation album and the first two or three albums that are part of Origins Discography. you should be able to notice the clear distinction of johns playing. or it might just be me. considering im a tech death drummer and have Always Loved playing Any and Every Origin song that i listen to. but yes. its still John Longstreth :)
@Z Designs Thanks man. Just that there are so many awesome drummers now days where are there used to be like 3 lol. John influenced a lot and many have copied.
John didn't play on Echoes though, it was a guy called James King.
That's good shit. origin always makes me happy
То что надо!!!!)))
4:20 nice
I don't know, I feel like the drummer should be more involved with the music...
drummer is 👌
*_On fire!_*
Looking forward to this album
I couldn't understand a damn thing even with lyrics on the screen.
ORIGIN ,,,,,,,,,,,, EU ADORO ,,,,,, ABRAÇO ...
Why I cant listen new songs on spotify? They are unavailable
Because the album is not out yet. Read the description.
Nick Zedd No, songs could be seen as singles. Just like the any other bands new singles, they all are available.
Ah, then I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Sorry :P
You cool man :D
Tolgahan Işık the songs are there they are singles man I downloaded them
New Origin, New Suffocation, New Decrepit birth, New Rings of Saturn.
Looks like a good year.
new aborted :D
New Morbid Angel (hope so)
New archspire
all disappointments.
new dying fetus
Hail space!
That fuckin outro!!
Vinnie Jones And 3:30.
Ok, this is just huge.
Reminding me a little of Echoes of Decimation. Good stuff.
OK, not a giant leap forward but still better than Omnipresence. I will buy it from their European lable. Hopefully the digipak will hold the CD longer in place this time. Support Agonia Records, people!
Sounds like Origin
No flat Dirthers Here 👈 abusing You're inner

This is amazing! But nothing can beats Antithesis
thats right
Echoes.. is Origin's best. Brutally fast, catchy, and most importantly, concise and to-the-point. The songs make their statements and gtfo. Antithesis was where Origin started padding their songs for length, playing riffs for more repetitions, and generally started sounding a bit more like the other death metal bands whose brutality/technicality Origin themselves inspired. Antithesis was the start of Origin's stagnation; where they settled on something resembling a formula.
So yeah. Ears. Use 'em.
Antithesis was the last time they had a second guitarist, and they still need one.
I agree theres just something about it
Larry Attotta Echos of Decimation!!!!!!!
Neat. Cool. Very Awesome.
Goddamn can't wait for this. These guys are fucking cool, Keyser bought me a beer after I stagedived about a dozen times during their set in my local dive bar couple years back.
sounds like a good fuckin time man!
@Luemm3l One of the best memories I have from any show. Jason was such a cool dude, didn't even get mad when I made a shitty drunken joke at his expense about Origin being a big step up from Skinless. It was an incredible night.
ive got beer from Mike Flores :D They are really cool guys
Ondrej Mészáros Fuck yeah! \m/
good song not great.
And here I'm sitting and thinking this is fucking brilliant. This is Antithesis good.
It is Antithesis good. Because it's identical to Antithesis material. I think i'd prefer if they'd stop plagiarizing their own riffs and start writing shorter, more intense songs for a change, like when Origin weren't just good but the best (Echoes).
I never liked Origin's short songs. One of their albums was full of short ones and they ended before I could get into the riffs. I much prefer this song over "Accident and Error". I can understand the complaint that their songs are sounding the same. It seems a lot of the creative juice was spent on Crator, which their debut I loved.
coool. amazing. The first thing you can. ..

I'm so stoned I can't tell if this is origin or rings of Saturn
Cuckford Libtardian VII Your name is correct alright lol
guys stop hating on each other and enjoy music ffs
srsly what is wrong with y'all
Lol then you need new speakers
Rings of Saturn 🤮
As far as I am aware the bands are actually friends, at least to some degree, Origin are touring with them as we speak, saw them last night and they, along with Hideous Divinity and even Graveslave, were all pretty damn good
This shit is better than that Onion Rings band.
It's fundamentally different to me, Rings are better at writing songs that have a more linear progression and their space-y tone is really nice, whereas Origin write stuff that is a bit more technical but the structure is a lot more chaotic.
Noumenon Drift not really
Suck a dick
@EverestBlizzard i highly agree
Thanks! Nice meme pic of Lucas btw
