Orbison, Roy - Pistolero Lyrics

Pistolero Pistolero, where do you ride?
Pistolero Pistolero, you ride alone tonight.
One of brothers five one day vowed to try to make his way,
Joined the cattle drive to Mexico, threw in with some bandidos,
Here he learned the lingo, killed the man they call him Pistolero.
Five thousand pesos they put on your head.
Five thousand pesos to get you alive or dead.
Ride on ride hard in vaquero, fast as you can to her side.
Ah, but por mucho dinero, el noveno por nada have died.

Pistolero Pistolero, where do you roam?
Pistolero Pistolero, on your way home.
Everytime a candle burns, waiting there for your return.

The candle is out Pistolero, I see the cabin down below.
Pistolero let her go, tonight you're mine Pistolero.
Five thousand pesos they put on your head.
Five thousand pesos to get you alive or dead.
Ah Pistolero look around you, your son has set in the sky.
Oh Pistolero I found you, kiss Maria tell Maria goodbye.
Pistolero Pistolero, lay your head down.
Pistolero Pistolero, six feet underground.

  13. P.... R....

Roy Orbison was one of the greatest vocal talents of his generation, and a remarkable human being, as well. His incredible singing voice was perhaps, in some way, enhanced by all the tragedy he endured in his life. You're my hero, Roy...RIP with your wife and children.

I'm going to comment on a few comments that are totally incorrect, to Gustavo Correa, he did not wear sunglasses because he thought his eyes were too small, and Tanaro Fubine, Roy wasn't blind either, the true story was Roy left his regular pair of glasses on a plane during a tour with the Beatles in 1963 it was a bright sunny day and had the courage to go on stage wearing them. Back then there was a stigma  people wearing glasses was not cool, but like Buddy Holly he made it wearing glasses, and Roy put on a pair of prescription sunglasses he made them cool.

    T.... G....

Roy Orbison only walk glasses because he made a mistake one day and walking on stage wearing them and that sort of became his trademark

    T.... G....

Roy was not Cross-eyed , blind, albino and did not think his eyes were too small. He left his clear pair of glasses on a low-winged chartered plane before a concert.. The shades became a trade mark..but yes he did need glasses since he had Mytopia..

  20. o.... ....

Yeah Tanaro Fubine is just a loser. He just wants trouble. Roy had sensitivity to bright lights on stage so he needed prescription sunglasses. I have the same problem and get headaches easily. A lot of people have it. And he died at 52 from a huge heart attack.

  21. B.... ....

iam part blind ive got light sensitive eyes alot like what Roy had

  22. j.... ....

Just watch any live recording, you'll see him playing the guitar.

Never heard this song or of this movie. This was cool, I heard that Orbison wore dark glasses because he was actually albino and his eyes were very sensitive to light. H e also colored his hair black when it was actually very light, don't know for sure if taht's true either.Don't know if that's true. What is true is he had an amazing voice

  26. M.... U....

    Thanx for sharing!

  27. P.... C....

Great singing from a good movie. Thanks for sharing.

  28. G.... C....

Roy wore sunglasses because he thought his eyes were too small, and he didn't like them on photos. Well , that's a silly quarrel. The most important was his heretage in music, He influenced even the Beatles. That matters.

    G.... C....

Gustavo Correa Roy Orbison wore sunglasses as he made mistake when walking on stage wearing them so it became his trademark and he wore them all the Time fact

    G.... C....

Kevin Barker you’re both right! He was also slightly cross eyed and very self conscious of it, as it didn’t fit his image as a romantic balladeer, so that helped disguise this

  29. s.... ....

had no idea he could play like that--wish there were more videos of his guitar playing

  30. E.... D....

Tanaro Fubine you are an idiot, Roy wasn't blind, he wor the dark glasses because that was part of his image and he didn't commit suicide he died of a heart attack.

  31. s.... ....

on this day in 1967 {September 1st} Roy Orbison's movie "The Fastest Guitar Alive" opened in theaters in the U.S.A.

  32. M.... B....

The only time Roy did NOT wear his trademark shades was in this movie!

    M.... B....

Michael Boyce and before he had to first wear them when he left his normal glasses on a plane in 1963

  33. p.... ....

    This is my favorite song.
