One Day As A Lion - Ocean View Lyrics
Blood done been runnin' down streets flood with beats
Of pepper spray over cracked concrete, so
So vicious make a rich man's neck split
Underworld 'bout to wreck shit, bet this
Banks closed, stomachs churnin'
They heard word of two, on the terror list
Hid in the pews just two city terrace kids
One held a piece just for peace of mind
The other was spittin' poems blowin' minds on a picket line
Barricades lay 'cross, made with bumpers and burnin' tires
And you could smell the exhaust
And you could hear the kids scream don't play us too close
Have the mic or the heater, but you can't hold both
And they were both
And they were both
Ocean of tears rise
Rise a flame to tear them down
Ocean of past crimes now
Fill our hearts to tear them down
The water main's cut off
Panic hit the manor of the mayor who's soft
Word on the streets that the cops got off
They shook to the rhythm of
Heaters that burned like claps of thunder
You turn to look at vengeance returned
That shattered control, after the whole
Shock of the news that a bomb hit the bridge at Broadway
Gridlock, full stop, every exit way
From Chavez to Main, downtown was the same
Every corner aflame with lines of people stripped of they clothes
Freeze! Hold up your ID's, their houses burned as they watched
The colonel looked at his clock and they were all
And they were all
And they were all
Ocean of tears rise
Rise a flame to tear them down
Ocean of past crimes now
Fill our hearts to tear them down
Ocean of tears rise
Rise a flame to tear them down
Ocean of past crimes now
Fill our hearts to tear them down
We'll light the flame to tear them down! [x6]
To tear them down! To tear them down!

oh sheeeit sings great in this lol people saying he cant sing he can his zack he can do any thing!
Still kicking ass 2019
bomb 10 year ago...
My favorite thing about this is that ZDLR approaches some of the vocals from an actual "singing" direction, it's super raw but so charismatic, and part of his delivery during the chorus really reminds me of a young Chris Cornell à la Screaming Life era.
But it ain’t rage! Tom made RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like zack de la Rocha. Who ever it is l like it.
Boy would you be happy
@J Jonah Jameson lmao
It is de la roca
It is this came right after the first autoslave album
sup rizing
keeping it real
I love the grit in this track, the atmosphere is so brutal.
Really enjoyed most of this album I hope they come out with more :)
speaking in tongues
Joe Dambra nice
some part of this song make me think janes addiction..... nothing shocking
Ke boomrang yeah man I can see that 👍
It's in the vocals for sure. Dig it.
"Wish i was ocean size,
they cannot move you
no one tries."
My only complaint is that the vocals werentmixed with a higher volume, I can barely tell what he's saying at a lot of parts. Everything else is pretty fucking killer
Sasekli ga
another awesome hit \m/
Killer!
Awesome EP, didn't this come out in 2008?
Well, personally, I only discovered it last week, though. Seemingly a case of "late"-to-the-party but, now, it can be seen as perfect timing as well, in a sense :p
Of course, one can hardly be late when discovering music like this. I mean, unless humans will quit being so idiotic (hopefully, one day...) music with such meaning will stay timeless :s

Hardly known, rarely listened but indeed timeless.
+hawkstrike18+ Definitely a timeless one for me, still play it a lot. Jon Theodore's drumming is monstrous on this release.
