Oingo Boingo, one of the most incredibly unique and underrated bands of all time. It blows my mind that people don’t have this shoulder to shoulder with bands akin to Queen.

All throughout the 80's I was strung out on drugs and booze big-time. Suicidal, too. Fortunately, my friends and family got me through it, and I've been clean and sober since '90. Occasionally, I still have bouts of depression, but listening to music (Joni Mitchell and Danny here, in particular) always snaps me out of it. Danny wrote a great song here, addressing a heavy subject in a beautiful way.

I was working at a college radio station when this came out and remember thinking that with a little promotion this song would go top 5 just like Love and Rockets' "So Alive" had. Of course, their label basically forgot it existed as soon as it was released and nothing happened, but it's still one of the best pop songs I've ever heard.

I remember when Danny Elfman was with Oingo Boingo years ago playing at the Living Room in Providence, RI. He's always been one of my hugest favorites!! I just really missed his great voice when he started doing musical scores for Tim Burton movies, then others, but hey -> GREAT FOR DANNY!!! I'll always love him!!

As an angsty teen in the 90s this song was always so soothing to me. Due to a recent injury I've been stuck in a wheelchair for 2 months and was feeling depressed today and thought I needed some Boingo in my life. Sure enough, I am feeling better!

hey, he didn't sell out. he choice his hearing over live concerts. he's loosing his hearing so he retired from Oingo Boingo to preserve it.

Even though I was born in the late 90's I was raised on 80's music and Oingo Boingo is definitely one of the best bands from that time, and Danny Elfman is an amazing musician I can always tell when I'm watching a movie with his music in it!

Thanks for posting this, I played the crap out of this cassette back in 1990. I took a 4-day weekend and drove out to Detroit from Connecticut to see them in concert on this tour. It was worth it.

I had a chance to meet Danny at the Living Room in Providence, RI and I kick myself everyday for blowing this off - he's become the most respected music producer with not only Tim Burton but Chris Nolan's efforts , especially with the "Dark Night" and "Inception" with Leo DiCaprio. At my High School, they showed us an anti-suicide PSA featuring this song. I seem to remember Elfman talking a bit before the song/montage began. That was late 1990, perhaps? I was stoked as I was a huge fan (although not a big fan of this album at the time).

man, i don't care what anyone says: this album is awesome. a lot of O.B. fans hate it cus it sounds so different from their earlier stuff. but the thing is, i love ALL of their stuff. even in their earlier works when they had the occasional mellow, lovely song, i loved it. this is an album just full of those. it's amazing
