so, i was listening to this song earlier, with headphones, and all of a sudden my dog came over and immediately sat by my feet. believe it or not this song has always reminded me of my dog. i love her so much <3

3 albums later, around 9 years, and this is still their best song. How did it not get into any album?!

years ago!!! i remember listening to this song in my bedroom waiting for my mates to come round for drink games etc... it was in the evening and  i know they would hate this song but i loved it... so i played it about 30mins before they arrived, had a little drink on my own looking out my window just closing my eyes thinking about the world, i dunno why but something felt special about that...moments like that can never be relived in the same view... :(((

It's kind of folk, but Of Monsters and Men prefer not to assign genre names to their music.

people usually classify it as indie folk, you can find a lot of similar artists in that genre.

They're Icelandic, so are Björk and Sigur Ròs and they all have the same lovely feeling.. Just so you know~

I agree with Elliot that these guys and gals are trailblazers. I am nearly 40 and thought that good music died with hair bands and 80's pop. This band however has turned me on to new music and got me into Mumford, Lumineers, etc. Monster's song King and Lionheart is absolutely awesomely haunting.
