For example American Weddings "don't mean too much, they don't last enough" He then mentions Islam where marriage depending on where/how its practiced marriage is sacred or a forced event. In essence Frank compares how the perception of marriage is different in the US to the rest of the world. While Voodoo is the opposite where marriage is the most beautiful thing to happen in someone's life. I mention voodoo because his live performance of this song includes voodoo on the end. I'm 54 and grew up listening to The Eagles. I loved Hotel California and I don't think anyone in the band should be upset when it comes to this song's instrumentals being used by Frank. He did a great job with the lyrics and personally, I love it. I really find it pretty haunting.

If you spent time creating a masterpiece instrumental and that beat turned into one of the most iconic songs in your genre you’d be kind of angry if someone just stole it to make there own songs without compensating or even crediting you too.
