this song takes me back to living in the middle of nowhere, when things felt so heavy and real. Years later I've moved on but this song, this song is calling me back.

I've never listened to a song by this man that did not speak to me on a personal, emotional, and spiritual level. even if they didn't click with me when I first heard them, I'd come back and give them a new listen from a new point in my life and it was hit me. its amazing. I've grown with this mans music all the way from early bright eyes as an angsty, death obsessed teenager to the more leveled out. more mature bright eyes. to his personal music. to the monsters of folk. if I ever meet conor oberst, I'll say nothing more than "thank you, so much".

I really relate to his music and lyrics, he speaks to people who understand depression, or loneliness or anxiety. His music makes me feel like I'm not alone and I love it.
