Just saw the ORBoys last fri 3/29/2019 at the Mtn Arts Center/MAC in our little town of P'burg, Ky. Had saw them back in the 70/80s several times. But, They sounded the same/just as GOOD as they did then. They were AWWWSOME!! What really Amazed me as well as many others were their ages & still singing & touring. The Lead/Tenor singer Joe Bonsall 74, Duane Allen 75, Wm Lee Golden 80 & Richard Sterban/Bass singer 77. Guys, If you possibly can? Do yourselves a Big Favor & go out & see & support them. You Will NOT be disappointed at ALLL? God Bless the Oak Ridge Boys!!

I grew up in a place called Cedar Grove. There was a man there named Jesse. And he fit the rough and rowdy Jesse Taylor role. And then God turned him around. This song makes me think of one of the baddest men I ever knew as he became one of the best men I'll ever know. Don't know where he is today. But he was in the right place, at the right time to make a lasting impression on me. Thanks Jesse. Wherever you are.

...eight souls were saved through water. There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the fifth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. --1 Peter 3:20-21. But yes baptism without repentance and confession is just getting wet.

There's got to be repentance of sins

water part is first then the laying of hands to transfer the Holy Spirit into the person is second also the moment you are saved is the day you die

Regeneration is a definite sign of being saved.

It just doesn't get any better than this. When Johnny Russel wrote this I'll bet he never dreamt the Oak Ridge Boys and Guy Penrod would do such a wonderful job with his little song. Guy Penrod has to be one of the very best tenors ever...although Duane Allen does an hell of a job...absolutely beautiful!
