There are a few negative comments regarding this song and the album. The Ojays are a hall of fame act that has brought joy to millions of fans for decades. This album will probably be their last hurrah. It will probably not be a commercial hit. Nevertheless thanks for the effort and thanks for the body of work they have given us.

Uplifting song. Ojays still sound good

The O' Jays were at the Dell East yesterday in splendid, urban, historic Philadelphia. Unforunately- I was unable to attend. But- I will catch them hopefully in Atlantic City.

This song personifies where I am at emotionally and socially as I mature. But- I am more captivated by the relevant feasible lyrics, splendid masculine vocal styles and harmonies maintaining The legend Philadelphia International Sound.

Finally good music is back in Sunny So Cal

this is a poorly mixed track. The vocals are overdriven and in my opinion too far up front. There is not the a Philly recorded and mixed track, if it is, it is still poorly mixed track and not fitting of the Icons and the referencing of the Gamble-Huff songs. I love the O'jays and I am used to a like on first listen, not here. I'm sad.

This cut right here should catapult them back into the national spotlight. It is an anthem! The promoters of the O’Jays should push this song as the song everyone could create their own video lip sync to ala Pharrell’s Happy Song. The video images to match up with lyrics provides unlimited choices. Great song. Just heard it for the first time yesterday. Been wearing it out.

Love the O'Jays but the vocals are a bit shaky on this track. Still better than most of today's trash!

Walter and Eddie are way up there in the years, and they have been doing this for a good 5-6 decades, so it's bound to happen eventually.

They sound good to me. This song is timeless. A younger person could not have sung this any better

This just doesn't do it for me! I haven't heard a song yet from this new album that I like?! This sounds light weight to me, I want the deep down and dirty O'jays. You know the ones that did Cry Together and Forever Mine. Leave the politics alone and get back to the deep soul!

1. The O'Jays didn't shy away from politics back in the day...but this latest attempt does feel forced.
2. While I appreciate their attempt at bringing the Philly International sound back, they just don't have the bankroll to get the setup that Gamble & Huff had...and their setup was MASSIVE. It sucks that things like that can never happen again.

@Phillip Watts, Jr., I don't think bankroll has anything to do with it, these just aren't good songs.

@thumbsaloft I was talking about the massive army of musicians G&H had, as well as all the great songwriters they had...any one of them could've fined tuned this latest effort.


And yeah, their political attempts here are automatic fast-forwards.
