Numan, Gary - Slave Lyrics

Here in this room
I'm a slave to your voice
I wait in the dark
With a cold metal choice
Here in this room
Where desire will bleed
And no-one can help you
No-one but me

OOh OOh
Here's something to remind you
OOh OOh
Here's something to remind you

Do you remember
The last time you cried?
Need I remind you
How innocence lied?
Here in the dark
You're a secret untold
A helpless obsession
So perfectly cold

OOh OOh
Here's something to remind you
OOh OOh
Here's something to remind you

Cry for someone, something, I'll laugh at you
Beg for someone, something, I'll laugh at you
Scream for someone, something, I'll laugh at you
Pray for someone, something, I'll laugh at you

    perhaps your ears don't work. I even hear Gary singing "i'll laugh at you" o.O;

  13. d.... ....

I have to dispute the "lyrics are wrong" theory. I do believe he sings "I'll laugh at you", but in his very pronounced accent it sounds like "I'll_laahff aaht yow". But whatever. Great track, with some awesome tribal-sounding drumming.

  14. m.... ....

Well I looked it up too and they all say “I’ll laugh at you." However if you use your ears, it sounds like he is singing. “I’ll find you." Don’t sound nothing like "I'll laugh at you."

I guess I am wrong; however I like what I hear more then what is said.
    :)

  15. P.... ....

Not according to the lyrics provided with the Jagged album. What is the source of your information?

  16. m.... ....

these lyrics are wrong, it is " I'll find you." not " I'll laught at you."

  17. l.... ....

Nine inch nails and marilyn manson / gary numan and david bowie / make splendid music and really like their ways , are just a few of my favorite musician's :D

  18. d.... ....

WOW, WOW not heard this before, fantastic, DARK and very INTERESTING DARK WAVE

  19. s.... ....

Jagged is his best album, and i have them all. He keeps getting better and better. Wonderfully desolate and violent! Love it!! What a brilliant voice!

  21. D.... ....

This is e Take Mystery To Bed (Early Version) in parts!

  22. S.... ....

Caution:This recording is made for people who have a attention span longer than 3 minutes , who love gary numan , and those who don't "Go with the flow" of boring mundane modern pop music .Whew! Glad I meet the qualifications.

  23. C.... ....

Damn PE, I loved Gary in the late 70's. Lost tack and find out he is a Trent Rez. guru. Trent also did some ith Johnny Cash before he died. Prolloy not your kind of music, but the emotion is the same across decades and styles. Thanks for reintroducing me to the grown up Gary! ; ) Have viewed all your GN uploads. Man you got "it, what ever "it" is!

  24. T.... ....

@zehrametalgoddess666 By the damn album and show Numan some respect. Numan is one artist totally worth paying for.

  25. D.... W....

I have this cd and enjoy it more and more each time I listen to it.

  26. c.... ....

Okay been getting into Gary Numan a lot recently (mainly his early stuff which is terrific) and then I listened to this.... and I really love it - its so different but it is great and it feels real at the same time

  27. N.... R....

Manson didnt remix Down in the park, He sang the song. NIN was fully responsible for producing that... Manson was on NIN'S label for years! NIN made manson! Clearly!

  28. S.... K....

    Beautiful. Absolutely Beautiful.

  29. d.... ....

Imagine, black lace, black eyeshadow, bright red lipstick and a gloomy night in transalvania....Heaven!! :-)
    I consider it Gothic.
Sisters of Mercy come to mind.
Although Gary Numan is very unique, still keeping the sounds of the early 80s in his muzic of the 2000s.
    What a performer. Class!!

  30. b.... ....

yeah it is kinda like that....its rock...but has a litle electronic in it....still its awsome

  33. k.... ....

    excellent...

  34. k.... ....

Agreed. Both I think both Trent Reznor and Marilyn Manson have actually cited Gary Numan as being one of their influences.

  35. S.... B....

    jagged is an awesome album

  36. V.... E....

Yeah especailly since it was Numan who came first and NIN and Marylin Manson even say's this guy is the electrogodfather
