The first chorus Brendon sings lines 1, 3, and 5, while Marcus sings 2, 4, and 6. But the second chorus they swap lines entirely. Just another reason why I love Northlane so much.

I love the melodies but man, its kinda ruined with the bad distortion/compression. It sounds so flat.Barely can hear the vocalist. Even on spotify. Even their oldest album or hell, even Tool's 1992 EP has better sound quality.

so jealous man, wish i could get into this album. but it sounds like some industrial ass metal. only good bits here and there. The comparisons to Node are baffling ( i feel Node is easily 10x bette then whatever this was supposed to be.) Hopefully there next release will be a return to form

That back and forth with Brendon and Marcus! I love how they switch "roles" on the first and second chorus respectively. Marcus is obviously incredible, but Brendon seriously adds so much.

@Takoshi Hitsamaru brendons vocals are a bit more high pitch than marcus' its a bit harder to tell in the second chorus because marcus does his vocals a bit higher but if you listen close enough you can tell.

And I think it has more influences from Mesmer: just like it was mentioned above, this song has some exiting Veridian vibe (the greatest song from Mesmer, in my humble opinion :)

@Joshua Weeks lmfao that's why you dont speak before thinking or hearing the album in full. I get so sick of people complaining when a band evolves their music. You wanna listen to the style like their older music, theres about 500 other bands who sound like that. The album, while drastically different than their previous work, is absolutely incredible. I hate when bands continue to put out the same style of music. It gets old real quick. These guys are aging, their taste in music is evolving as well. While they do make music for the fans, they also make it for themselves. Imo they knocked this out of the park.

Love the 80s dance synth in the beginning, and the bridge sounds so desperate and full of emotion. THIS is my favorite song off of A1ien. The boys outdid themselves

@Jim Craig yes I comepletely agree but you know how people were before anything was released on this album they were saying Northlane has become soft and no more screaming. I guess Marcus wanted to show the fans what talent he really has. To me he can do both extremely well and was blown away by this album.
