Norma Jean - Robots 3 Humans 0 Lyrics
Open that door: I'll follow you into that space
Where nothing is regretted then forgotten
Where is that grace that carries me out?
So strange, it's mine, it's closed and locked
It won't be yesterday when
Before the days of collapsing
And I'll stand through all these lines
Just to make it back to you
Can you help me every step of the way?
We can bury that battle and bury the cause
There is nothing that I can say
Because I was wrong this time
Careful now, don't drown yourself in sorrow
I was the one that built that cross and weighed you down
And now I'll carry on till it's over and it's over
And if you open that door
It won't be yesterday when
Before the days of collapsing
And I'll stand through all these lines
Just to make it back to you
Can you help me every step of the way?
We can bury that battle and bury the cause
There is nothing that I can say
Because I was wrong this time
Yesterday when
Before the days of collapsing
And I'll stand through all these lines
Just to make it back to you
Can you help me every step of the way?
We can bury that battle and bury the cause
There is nothing that I can say
Because I was wrong this time

Still listen to this album almost daily. Long live the kings. Norma Jean
Does anybody know what kind of guitar he is using? I have always loved that design and would love to get one my self.
<3 in 2018
This is great on so many levels...tight as fuck
Cove smashed this song. love it!
Damn this is good. Reminds me of the older stuff from thrice. I checked out your other stuff Norma Jean and I'm not disappointed at fucking all. Have a new band to jam to at work guys 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Why not jam in your car??? Because my CD player is a damn peice of shit that's why.
Her feet at 1:55.. Mmmmm
Has a sounds of animals fighing vibe. Love it. Praise his name.
Maybe it's just me, but he sounds so posh here i thought they're english.
asi o mas emo?
My first Norma Jean song is Robots: 3, Humans: 0. That was my favorite metalcore song of 2006. But, we're total headbangers, my friends.
its actually 2008
god i love this song, easily since 2010 fml more old nj
how does this video not have millions of views from all the lost kids who listened to this song in the early/mid 2000s????
A lot of musicians got kind of screwed over when the "vevo" pages start becoming a thing. Basically erased all the views that the videos previously had
i love this band
this shit right here, is that good good
No other band has given me as many out of body experiences as Norma Jean has.
The Almighty Norma Jean
Liam Jacob If you haven't yet, check out Silent Planet. Those guys are out of this world.
@Joseph Bastidas true!
bien vergas
Does every one of there songs have to be named so stupid?
John Carroll OMG they're a bunch of nerds! lol
I can see what your saying with the screaming and on the verge of going out of tune. But those names. GOD! It's so stupid! Whats wrong with naming the songs with some key words out of the chorus? lol keep it simple.
LoonyyyWSMN good answer. Didn't have to be such a Douche about it.
The Loobis here just so you have to come back to this video again.
The Loobis This video tho...
a really really awesome pre-chorus and chrous.
I am so gay
JiriJ poser

robots are winning because finding your celestial identity is rare....damn
still one of my favorite songs
still my favorite comment
Morgan McNeill sends chills up my neck, to this day.
As a new listener, one of my favorite songs of theirs, I love this album.
Just started getting into these guys. Seeing them at a festival in Copenhagen.
Honestly this song just expresses so many strong emotions to me. Not just the lyrics, but the way he delivers them mostly. Truly great!
"There is nothing that i can say, because i was wrong this time!"
I grew up a few towns away from 'em. Good dudes!
Melodic screams. What a cool style. Still think Meridional was their best work. Probably because it was more poppy and accessible haha.
Poppy? Are you serious? Meridional was the polar opposite (pun intended) of poppy
I've gotta see these guys before they break the Fuck up.
Theyre releasing a new album september 9th so theres ur chance :)
Masteriece
懐かしい!最高最高最高
still rock these dudes been years .
buen tema.......
I'm literally taking a shit right now...matter of fact I pushed out 3 butt nuggets typing this
Can you help
ベビーが少し成長しすぎてるような。。
Is this a metalcore band like Issues?
@Warrior Tha Witt Norma Jean are old school metalcore. Like a lot of others, I came back to this shit for nostalgia.
Norma Jean is the forgotten father of metalcore. I only say forgot because they were overshadowed by bands like As I Lay dying, Killswitch Engage, and Avenged Sevenfold. Redeemer is their gem check it out.
<3 Chariot
<3 '68
But Cory is and will always be the real singer of Norma Jean.
Deal with it. :)
I feel you. Cory is Norma Jean! End of story. He has kept that ship floating this whole time hes been in the band and I am so grateful that he has.
This song brings back so many memories
this is a very very very good song
Love how he adds a melodic like tone to the vocal styling. That's why I got into this band, due to his vocals. Original singer was more aggressive which is cool & hardcore & shit, I mean the chariot is bad ass, but the Melody Corey adds is awesome
But I hate how every album is getting softer and softer. 5 years and they'll have The Beach Boys looking heavy in comparison.
softer, they are still heavy as fuck . go see a Norma Jean show
Agreed. Saw them 2 weeks ago for the 4th time and it was as heavy as always. Top 3 band.
It is sad that Norma Jean will never visit Ukraine((
Old comment, but one of the dumbest things I've ever read. I hope you've grown up at least a little in these two years.
Fuck i loved this band
They do still exist.......
Haha yeah they're still going, bout to do a 10 year anniversary tour. Playing o,God the aftermath. My dads the singer, Cory brandan.
+Kyler Putman Yeah, believe me, I'm completely aware of Norma Jeans existence still. I was just letting the other dude know that, because I spoke of them in the past tense. like they were gone or something. lol
And if Corey is really your dad, that is amazing, and I envy your life.
He's an amazing musician, to say the least.
@Urrk Dahmer cries of the past baby!
@TheDeath Manuele face face was like 2002. And this song was off of their worst album so don't judge it too hard. Check out wrongdoers, best album since redeemer hands down. My order would go Redeemer, Wrongdoers, O god the aftermath, Maridional, bless the martyr kiss the child, then vs the antimother.
Bless the martyr kiss the child was actually a lot more popular than wrongdoers. It was a more superior album especially considering the time frame.
+jarboe831 I remember the day I heard "Memphis will be laid to waste" and I thought it was the most amazing song I had ever heard. Still love that album and honestly think they get better with each album. Each release has a slightly different sound, but they never, ever disappoint. not even close..
Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste is actually the reason I got into this band, hah. I think my favourite album would have to be O' God The Aftermath, but I really like all of them.
2nd greatest song ever wrote..(zao- angels without wings)
+Ben W (bear) A tool to scream for me.
I love Cory's vocals in this song.
Look like we have 32 Justin bieber fans...
An original statement.
Brilliance.
True brilliance.
You did it.
Round of applause.
@jeeshwa123 Nice Aphex Twin photo. ^_^
@Shaquille Greene thanks guy
5 years later, 79
This is great stuff, but I enjoy Josh Scogin (former vocalist of NJ and The Chariot) much more. IMO he is the better screamer. He created some of the most memorable hardcore with Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child. That album arguably revolutionized the hardcore breakdown (listen to songs: Memphis will be Laid to Waste, The Shotgun Message, Face: Face).
Have you listened to '68?
Yeah its pretty cool. I haven't listened that much, but I'll probably buy their album.
His version of Memphis Will Be Laid to Waste on the album is why most people say that. I dunno, I gotta say they're both pretty amazing. I dunno hwo they can do this on tour without hurting themselves
You forgot the best song on the album organized beyond recognition
huh haven't heard for over 6 years not what i remember, kinda sounds like "hardcore" of this age which was "emo/daddyhitme" in my age o well as long as they are happy doin what they do im not touring
@Jeremy Steiner, Norma Jean was never "super heavy death metal".. They've always had their own sound, it's slightly changed over the years but it's still Norma Jean.
listen to Thrice - Image Of The Invisible
Aaron Conlin it's like Converge, unbelievably abrasive yet manages to not fit in as metal quite right
thats probably why they are still together now while a lot of other bands (from their era) would be dead
god damn i love whiny singing
This is a good song on an awesome album
My band is looking for a singer
Find us on sound cloud.com Search- All Impetus
If you like us show your friends or try singing
We are from Metro Detroit, Thank you
they changed completely, do you have ears?
They've had some major lineup changes which may have been why they altered their sound. They used to be a super heavy death metal band. Now it's more melodic metal. I think they capitalized the best of their old sound and the best of their new sound on their new album.
how did they change exactly
god I remember when I first heard Norma Jean bless the mayrter kiss the child that album was god dam fuckin amazing ... this stuff ..... eghh
So good
มันสะใจ
I never understood the meaning of this song until last night
Untochables was a good album, there's no denying that, maybe it isn't for your taste
I have always thought of Norma Jean as, at the very least, an experimental band, at least with regards to metal. To say they change with the times is strange, because I remember enjoying "Redeemer" precisely because, in 2006, it wasn't post-whatever, it still had a ton of sharp metal teeth. They're a band that goes all out for each song and really reaches for something new with each album, and that's change I can believe in. A catalog should encompass a variety of changes, like an organism.
they have a new album coming august 6th these guys are freakin amazing
I haven't listened to this band in forever, glad i came across them again :)
There are several things wrong with this comment. The first being that comparing this to Korn's dubstep abomination is very, very far off. Korn changes there style at least a bit on every album. Norma Jean keeps it fresh but not monotonous. If you think that bands go stale due to downloading their music for free, you are an idiot that does not understand that some people don't do it for money, and also cannot call yourself a fan of any band since you don't have the respect to at support them.
Let's imagine Norma Jean stuck to their original, day one, Bless The Martyr sound. Even the biggest fans of that "era/version/style" of the band would eventually turn and say, "Wow, they've gotten stale, they do the exact same thing every time."
bastlake Thats how Will Haven is to me
first time hearing this song... haven't even listened to the whole thing and I won't. Vox sound generic compared to old shit
Saying any Korn is good is a terrible analogy because we all know Korn is terrible.
lovelovelove3
this shit rocks sooo fucking hard !!!
nope. they are not. thats like saying old Korn is as good as the new dubstep Korn. i feel bad for the industry, because there's just as many of us who like real metalcore and mathcore, but we ruined it all because we are the ones who download music hahaha only 12 year olds who listen to pop music buy music anymore, so bands have to start singing all lame
These guys are playing Summer Slaughter?
-__-
This song got me through a 15 month deployment. Thank you for making music.
so you're talking about the fact that Underoath lost their drummer whom also did clean vocals, so they got a new drummer and spencer had to do cleans too?
Who*
Gotcha covered, bro. ;)
AMAZING SONG, COME TO ARGENTINA
Awh man, I was flagged for spam :(
Sick song, man can't believe I was at there concert and missed them
I go to watch Norma Jean, and get an advert for some guy called 'Jake Buck'. An advert that doesn't have a skip option. Youtube, that guy is fucking terrible fyi.
wot does the new norma jean do?
Chino was screaming as early as 1994 I believe.
And the Deftones were screaming before it was cool.
My favorite song by them is Surrender Your Sons, part of it due to the fact that Chino Moreno of Deftones guest sings on it.
See them live earlier this year, they still kick some serious asses.
This song makes me feel like smacking some dumbshit.
I Still love this song ♥
This song is awesome
YES! thank you ... greatest album ever
Bring back Bless the martyr Kiss the child
Come on everyone… Old Norma Jean and new Norma Jean are both incredible. Just because they have changed their sound and gone a different direction doesn't make them bad. I will always be a fan of any Norma Jean, as all of their work is a masterpiece.
