Norma Jean - IV. The Nexus Lyrics
We've all heard them say
“It takes one to know one”
“It takes one to know one”
“It takes one to know one”
Well small lies are big lies and we've all told both.
The whole world is wounded
While you stand around
And heal like an angel.
You might think all of this sounds so crazy
But we want to fall where there are padded walls.
I don't wanna be inside while the walls are closing in.
If you want to make this all work then you're gonna have to try.
Is the twin of an outright speech
But lies always travel faster than the truth is said.
Lies always travel faster than the truth is said.
But the lies always travel faster than the truth is said.
The lies always travel faster than the truth is said.
Truth is said.
We've all heard them say
“It takes one to know one”
“It takes one to know one”
Yeah
Cause I don't wanna be inside while the walls are closing in.
If you want to make this all work then you're gonna have to try.
I don't wanna be inside while the walls are closing in.
If you want to make this all work then you're gonna have to try.
We've all heard them say
The whole world is wounded
The whole world is wounded
The whole world is wounded

Norma Jean IV. The Nexus Comments
This is PERFECT. My ears and brain are completely satisfied.
And this is how u do it! All hail is bad ass but polar similar has to be one of my favorites.. Norma Jean 🤘🖤🤘
Dear Tool. Please cover this song. It's not as if you're busy releasing an album per year is it?
iam here fearing i will walk alone
That is not how I cook my steak.Spooky. I feel like I was just subliminally programmed to do something bad.
All around best Norma Jean song ever...
I love long songs like this especially when the band is jamming out towards the end.
Matthew Lust post rock/post metal all day long
I love this and all the other videos for this album that are just flames!
So original, so hypnotic to watch...
Somehow goes perfectly w their music.
2:20 casting a thin shadow underoath? Lol
Lol, I've never heard this song before, but that's the total vibe I got.
I used to study to "casting a thin shadow" on repeat.
Post metal can be the coolest sound when it’s done really well!
Check out DEAD HORSE TRAUMA🤘🏻❤
They are really cool in person
Fantastic final track on this awesome album!
Are the I, II, III and IV tracks (People, Planet...) meant to be one long piece?
Finger Picking Good the entire album is supposed to be. The entire album is about abuse, the song in Nebula was just a song to coast the story, only because the new guitarist wanted to put his own style inside the album
AAAWEEESOME!
What's the speech at the end from?
I need to know SOLIDSTATE. NORMA JEAN
I don't know what it's from originally but recently I figured out that it's the same clip they used as the intro for their set on the O' God anniversary tour
LEGOSuperDKong ,, interesting.
A phenomenal closer. My God, Norma Jean. Like great whites attacking angels.
I'm crying. wow
This album is gold. Norma Jean strikes again.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS PLEASSSSSSSSSSSE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
4:05 GOD DAMN, BREAKING SHIT AS I SPEAK
pardon me, somebody has got to explain the videos to me....
Christian Metal Source it's supposed to make you feel upset and to feel empathetic. Since this album is actually about abuse, they want you to feel empowered and to feel empathetic about those who are abused and those who are abused to rise up. This can be read from the video of 1,000,000 watts, it's a homewrecker meaning the house hold is destroyed, which also explains the child at the end of the video
Very good perspective..
@Sin and Hunting to me music is everything, i never really dig the meanings of lyrics, but probably i should...
HEY. rats off to ya:)
This has become my favorite ASMR video.
Such a fuckin RAW album. Vocals have improved -like- 5 fold. The guitar work has truly reached the next level. This is what people want from a Norma Jean album.
You read WAY too much into my comment. lol. Even the best can improve, dude.
randomd00d19 vocals have sounded the same since redeemer bruh. No improvement needed.
Darriel Miller I disagree.
lmao i dont care.
@Darriel Miller Lol.
Reedemer has more chaotic, gut-wretching yelling, with despair and crushing phrasing, un-clean, shady singing and deep, tattered growling. This is more clean, technical and produced. (not a bad thing, still raw as fuck.) Actually, i love Reedemer vocals most, it was pure and unstable, thx to Ross Robinsons hand.
This type of vocals, are also in Anti-Mother (again, Robinsons production) but after that, Meridional was something a middle - clean/crushing. I think, that after that, Cory starts using more comfort vocals like this.
amazing
Poor mice.
Does anyone have an official script of the ends monologue? I can make most of it out except for a few words.
I tried to translate
I found your house / I heard you lived here / I found your window / So I approached it / I welcomed your presence / I had [too much fury] ?? / So I opened it / Inside was a piece of paper with a name written on it / It was - It was yours
Thank you so much. But I believe he says "I hid a box there / So I opened it. :) Everything else you typed was what i thought he said. Thanks for the confirmation :D
@Harrison Furlong No problem. That definitely makes more sense than "I had too much fury". That line is so drowned out and muffled it's hard to hear.
Haha yea ik its so eerie and awesome. Now that I listen back. You could be right with 'I had' rather than 'I hid'... I guess you hear what you wanna hear eh? ;) I guess this could be interpreted in so many ways. It's hard to know what hes talking about. I mean the piece of paper could be a suicide note or a love letter or so many other things lol. I guess the point of music though eh :)
so many dead mice
maaaan...awsome album. that's all I can say
And here I was thinking that there is no way that they can outmatch Wrongdoers......
They're both great in their own way. All their music is so great I can't pick a favorite record. I hate to pick favorites, but this might be my favorite song of theirs.
this album is getting better with each song I listen too. bigs ups Norma
