Norma Jean - Death Is A Living Partner Lyrics
Someone take me down to the river
And leave no trail for which to return.
Let the muddy water fill my lungs,
Fill my lungs.
And leave no trail for which to return.
Fill my lungs,
Fill my lungs,
Fill my lungs.
The invincibility of our youth has just given away
(And I hope it does)
To the inevitability of our death, yeah.
The invincibility of our youth has just given away
(And I hope it does)
To the inevitability of our death.
So don't raise your glass.
Don't raise your glass.
Don't raise your glass.
Redemption wears a red dress but carries a white flag.
I'll wear that red dress for you.
The invincibility of our youth has just given away
(And I hope it does)
To the inevitability of our death, of our death.
The invincibility of our youth has just given away
(And I hope it does)
To the inevitability of our death.
So don't raise your glass.
Don't raise your glass.
Death is a living partner.
A consummate consummate one.
A consummate consummate one.
Consummate consummate one.
Consummate consummate one.

FUCK YES!
In love and eternally thankful. I didn't think you'd bless us with another masterpiece. THANK YOU for giving us real music in this drought! what a surprise and restoration of happiness :))) However, (don't kill me please), their lyrics have changed!!! Same members?? Idk, anti-mother/redeemer,/martyr all contained greater depth and interpretation? anyone know what I mean? and care to give me their perspective on some of these lyrics please and thanks (again, please be kind to me lol) Peace X
Norah Ismail I think past albums have been a lot more vague than this one is. This album is about abuse, and is a lot more complete package deal than before
Also, none of the members are the original members of NJ and they change each album with the exception of Cory,, but I commend them for keeping the "spirit" of Norma Jean alive for all these years. As for the lyrics...I have no idea what he's saying in this song, haha.
YUP YUP YUP YUP

True life
I don’t think they’re horrible…they have a few fun songs, but I don’t take them seriously
My favorite song on the track. Reminds me of some of the Chariot's best songs. Fast, punk, and pitch black.
might be my favorite song of the album
