NOFX - Whoa On The Whoas Lyrics
we never like to sing whoa's. we love whoa's. we're against whoa's. we hate whoa's. we prefer ahhhhh's and na na na na-na na's. of course yeah, yeah, yeah's are alright. between AFI and The Offspring i don't think we need anyone else to sing anymore whoa's. we hate whoa's. we're against whoa's. we hate whoa's. awwww.

NOFX Whoa On The Whoas Comments
But what about the Misfits?
Personally I'm a big fan of whoas. Total Immortal by AFI comes to mind. Great song.
This song was made to make fun of AFI and the Offspring.
The Millennial Whoop in a nutshell.
Re: NYC.
Offspringcommentoffspringcomment....wheres the Bad Religion comment?
Wrong way kids
political punk at it's best :D
the new blink 182 album :/
Yeah, i believe they said this was written as a joke about The Offspring.
Back when they were still playing punk.
Offspring doesn't
Akhamesh when was offspring punk?
Eric Bomberger they were pure punk in their first three albums. they have still made a lot of punk since but also alt rock, pop punk, ska punk etc. dont be a douchebag elitist man.
@The Enlightened Centrist The Offspring's first couple albums are great; I love the middle eastern melody combined with punk; very unique.
@Eric Bomberger Always. Punk is not just one genre it has sub genres. Doesn't mean that Offspring play the same subgenre of punk as NOFX for example, or like more hardcore punk bands. It's like you are saying Beatles weren't a rock (n roll) band, just because they didnt had the same music and sound as for example Blue Oyster Cult.
me first and the gimmie gimmies - for the longest time
I guess AFI and Offspring use them a lot, but c'mon, the Misfits were the kings of "whoah!" (see for example "I turned into a martian"). Other notable examples: Sick of it All "Us against them" and Pennywise "Bro Hymn". Of course Mike likes those 3 bands, dunno how he feels about the 2 he named.
not sure about offspring but I'm sure they are ok with them too, but fat mike and me first and the gimme gimmes dressed up like afi for a few warped tour gigs
plus, "Pennywise" and" Sick of It All" don't rhyme with "sing"
Pretty sure it's just a joke. Otherwise they wouldn't be doing a thing they hate all song
It's no secret that Fat "anal play" Mike hates The Offspring.
Good American examples. From the beginning, U.K. bands like The Skids liked to 'A-wey-oh!' through a lot of their songs too.
Wow, the meaning of this song is deep, XD. But, seriously though it's a funny song.
I just love the sarcasm of Nofx and how they make parody of the fellow bands, but also about themselves with nanananaa-yeahyeahyeah.
ahahaha
and AFI lol...I actually really like both of those bands but it's still nice to be able to laugh, they are heavy on the whoas
adam hurt lol
this song was made to make fun of the offspring.
In these times, yes, but in 90's both bands were punk.
Offspring's smash was a classic punk along with Punk In Drublic and Rancid's Let's go and even Green Day's Dookie. Now everyone shut the fuck up, Nofx poked fun at the offspring in a friendly manner so there's no point of fighting....
It's ok I know their label mates with the offspring and their just messing with them but their still better then NOFX
The shit you talk about is basically "Don't listen to Offspring, I don't like them". This is fucking bullshit.
And in my opinion The Offspring doesn't change to worse or better. Some songs are salty, some songs are sweet, some songs are bitter. I like Offsrping because of their variety. Actually, I am wondering, what the fuck are you trying to tell us all? No one cares about your opinion, it won't change the fact that I like The Offspring. I would say that Offspring has it's own kind of "genre" and I like their style. Just shut up and listen to whatever you like, dont lash at people who like Offspring.
Get over yourself. Offspring.
"Whoa" dude punks built off whoas
Right, personal tastes = hate.
Don't lump jokes like Offspring and Pennywise with legends like NOFX and Bad Religion. Please. You sound 12.
HAhahahaha, I'm sorry, I love the Offspring, but NOFX does have a point about how often they do whoa's.. xD
Bands like The Offspring, NOFX, Rancid, Green Day, Pennywise, and Bad Religion saved punk's ass in the late 80's and throughout the 90's. Show some respect.
Pennywise has free usage of whoas though
THUMBS UP! A MILLION TIMES THUMBS UP
It's a decent album but noting can beat Smash
i liked it because i don't live in a box and call myself a music fan that likes one type of music thats not a music fan. it had some good punk songs, some general rock songs and a bit of reggae rock. do you play an instrument ?
WTF are NOFX haters doing here go off to your green day videos
against woahs? well look where NOFX are right now. Offspring havent compromised their sound and still made it big. Fat Mike is a fat jealous jew
DUDE YES! the album was so shit, completely changed my opinion of them, same with greenday and blink, poor punk turn pop fuckers.
Nofx and Offspring are great band, with differents ways to understand this awful world... Punk Rock at the end...
I'm a huge offspringfan but I'm not a fan of NOFX to be honest. This song may force me to reconsider ...
What you think of Days Go By? That album just sucked in my opinion.
They're more like a less talented version of Bad Religion
Offspring in the 90's was classic, but they've been a fucking disgrace ever since. Meanwhile, NOFX still rules.
Offspring and AFI, great bands!
Keanu Reeves theme song right here.
you guys do know they're just making fun of them for laughs, right?! i mean, i'm an offspring fan, but, this is funny as shit, and yes, the offspring does use too much whoas xD
The offspring sucks my balle
We called it America Woah oh oh oh...
I would've expected a better parody of the offspring's overabundance on using whoa as good of a band as NOFX is.
hahaha hahaha This is hilarious! xD
and don't forget Oi's, Awww's and Let's GO's!
@Abercrombieand1Bitch epitaph huh?
so falling in reverse and i set my friends on fire are boss
reflect on that my friend
@blackheartsbirth FUCK YEAH DUDE!
the only reason I like this song is cause of the whoas
haha i ain't much for green day as they honestly started out as a bunch of bored stoners writing songs about masturbation and now their trying to be Offspring but oh well
AFI, Offspring, Dogwood, NoFX< Bad Religion, MxpX, Dogwood, Hangnail and all other Tooth & Nail and Epitaph bands are BOSS
@MykeMetyll greenday and the offspring are both punk bands.
as long as they don't hate the offspring, even if they do hate their whoas, it's all good. I like the offspring AND this song, haha.
@ZaikuZERO i noticed you forgot streetlight manifesto, they belong in that tier
@dexterholland94
Offspring was never punk. And I wouldn't know about Green Day. I'm still spinning 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours.
I can say that it's according to band whether they remain punk or not :) nofx and rancid remained punk, whereas offspring and green day turned to alt rock but I think it's normal as people change and their perceptions as well. I don't think it is cool to sing about masturbation or alcohol at the age of 40. Despite this, I prefer 90s punk :)
rancid sucks and the clash sucked too
@assortedfish ha reggae rock
bad brains
@MykeMetyll Green Day did have albums before Dookie, and they were all great, I love Green Day, but God damn it they were never really punk. They were more Pop-Punk. Always were. Noe stop fucking arguing and enjoy the fucking music, NOFX has nothing to do with Green Day or the Offspring.
@iIIegal you got it all wrong. We call it America whaooo*
What's with all the people complaining about Green Day? They were the band that got me into The Ramones, The Clash, NOFX, Rancid, The Offspring, and all of the other bands like that.
@pxe
You do realize GD had albums before Dookie, right?
@MykeMetyll
I don't give too much of a shit about genres, I just listen to what sounds good, but to consider Green Day as closer to 'punk' than Offspring is hilarious. It's not even just the old stuff like Smash and Ignition, a lot of the recent tracks are clearly punk, too. Green Day's pop-rock.
i like both NOFX and the offspring but the offspring are so much better
@Perdoct
At least Green Day was actually a punk band once.
@dexterholland94
Oh, right, "teh punx" is a LIFESTYLE! Not fast music about fucking and food! Silly me! I'll remember to listen to 17 year olds who listen to boy bands.
@dexterholland94
No, you dense fucker, MY statement. I felt bad that you listen to such terrible music, but now I can see you're probably some 16 year old who thinks liking a lame-ass band like Offspring makes you TRUE hXc PUNXX!!!
@dexterholland94
I think it's an obvious statement.
@dexterholland94
I honestly feel bad for you.
@dexterholland94
Offspring are even worse than Green Day.
@iDavidBee
Offspring (along with Green Day) completely bastardized pop-punk.
@ccabrera221 Look at Danzig era Misfits, They got by on Whoa's alone lol, Nah but really all the bands mentioned so far are amazing. punk united brother
@iDavidBee Thats an opinion, and my opinion is on the other side of your statement sir :D
This band is no where near as good as the offspring
@lynxfootball4life agreed
@systemofachemicalnir 311 and the offspring = good. Green Day= sack of shit sellouts
@OpakeArawra2
311 and rise against i gotta defend
the offspring im on the fence
and green day well yeah they suck
@systemofachemicalnir nofx, bad religion, rancid, sublime, and the rest of the bands suck. except maybe rise against. actually rise against kinda sucks.
@AtheneWon360
pizza pie! (:
bad religion
rise against
the offspring
nofx
sublime
311
rancid
green day
pop punk from best to worst
The Offspring > NOFX. Just sayin'.
Joey Lawrence is not pleased.
@jrack13 more woahs for everyone!
@iIIegal Well, I think it's pretty clear that the song is a joke...
i love the na na na na na nas lol
was that smelly in the begging??.. "i was gunna count fucker"
@iIIegal I was thinking the same thing :)
this song was made, because NOFX found it hilarious how The Offspring used alot of Whoas in their songs.
Offspring themself found it amusing :P
this song was made to make fun of the offspring
@ZaikuZERO yeah
@Arian545 But you said it doesn't work when NOFX try to do it..The whole point was for it to suck lol.
@Arian545 They are poking fun at Offspring..Not trying to sound like them..
woah woah woah....there are WAY to many woahs in this song..i mean whoa...
the funny things though is that fat mikes absolutely loves the misfits (with danzig of course) just like the offspring and afi do (the bands who used whoas a real real lot back in the day), but he prefers his yeah, yeah, yeahs, and na, na, nas over the whoas, they all serve the same purpose basically!!! either way, fat mike and nofx rule!
@SquirtleD way to copy straight from wikipedia hahaha
*comment about how NOFX have also used whoas in their songs and that I have no understanding of a joke*
@rockzilla69 Bad Religion don't do 'whoa''s, they do 'oozin' aah's
We called it America whoaaaaaa
We called it America whoaaaaaa
Good job NOFX
It's funny, because "We Called It America", first song on Coaster, there"s a ton of whoas in it.
