This song makes me think of a friend of my ex girlfriend who chose meth and a rambler lifestyle over a family. Her kids got taken away, and she was somewhat upset of course, but not upset enough to quit meth, quit the runaround lifestyle, and get a job and be an adult. I got rid of my loser girlfriend a long time ago, and I never knew what happened to her friend, and I imagine she never saw her kids again. All for meth and to have some loser guy provide a bed for her to sleep in. Every time I hear this song, I think of this transient girl named Shana, and the family life she threw away just to smoke meth, and to hook up with guys so she didn't have to pay bills. Yep- She's Gone.
