Hey Noah! IM SO HAPPY I FOUND UR MUSIC AGAIN! My friend showed me ur music 2 years ago and it was amazing. We were always listening to family, fire, slow dancer and poor man's son. My friend recently came back from Australia and i asked him, what was the song that we were always listening to, none of us could figure it out untill i remembered a single word ''Poor'' and after that i managed to find poor man's son! Just today! Noah, keep on doing music, always! LOVE ALL OF UR MUSIC!

This song has a nice ring to it but the modern music video style sh*t f*cks it up..

when the crescendo moment hits and all the scenes play reverse footage of things coming together--the curse of memory, the challenges of relationships. when you break up with someone, you're ending the good as well as the bad. it's too easy to think about the good and see the past through rose colored glasses; it's too easy to want the love you know is wrong.

Think of a relationship as a road. It's a road that stretches out for miles and it has bumps and hills that you have to climb and it is hard. But you realize that you are still on the road with the person you love next to you and it makes you appreciate what you have while you have it. Because that person that you hold so dearly could step off that road and onto another. Then you will be walking it alone.

@Jann Vega Noah Gundersen said himself that this song is about addiction to a substance, hence the title "Ciggarettes". So whether the woman is the "Ciggarette" or the man (I think it's the woman) the other is trying to get out of their addiction of the other.

I really dig a lot of Noah Gundersen. That said though this song seems like some Forrest Gump type shit.lmao maybe just cause I'm a non smoker I just can't groove on the lyrics.

well smokin is not really in the center of this , the comparison to other things more like.. thats why the lyrics is so "general" so you can associate to many things that can be addictive

The song is pretty good but the video is great. Noah Gundersen is a good lyricist and knows how to set the mood but his music isnt really my cup of tea. One of the best music videos i've seen. The music and cinematography go so well together and im sure gives some of us deja vu.

Maybe it's cause I heard the live performance video first but I prefer the live version. It's amazing. Not that this isn't brilliant as well, I just like the other one more :) It's so raw.

It's about a past love that was once like an addiction to him, something that no matter what he had to have. And he thinks he's over her, but truly deep down there's still a piece of him that can't let go. He might not love her the way he used to, but she still holds a small piece of his heart. Or at least that's what I get out of it, because that's the exact same situation I've found myself in.

Powerfully moving...I'm speechless.

It saddens me at how little view's this heartfelt song has... People that don't know Noah Gundersen have no clue at what beautiful angelic sounds they're missing. The entire family have something special and I love them all.

For an indie singer-songwriter, 8000 views in 12 days isn't that bad. I love Noah's work as well. Patience, more people will find these blissful melodies in time. He has been composing music for years after all. Knowing a bunch of musicians where I live as I do, I'd say it's only a matter of time when Noah busts out to perform for wider audiences. After all, generally hard work + talent = success. Whatever your field.
