@Tristan Raine I wish so, too, but, as a musician myself, I know Trent has his own very good reasons for not sharing whatever he hasn’t shared :-D I’m only ten years younger than him, too, so I doubt there will be some future era where I will see his posthumous “not meant for public consumption” materials, as what happens to many artists when they shuffle off the mortal coil (and I hope that’s a long way off indeed!! We lost Bowie too soon, for example!).

At first I kind of passed this song along like it wasn’t that important, to me at least. Kind of a-... right, it’s a waltz type thing with sequencers running out of sync.

Game changed though when I realized I couldn’t put my finger on where the drum pulses start and end. So he’s pulling two time signatures separated between instruments, much like on Into the Void (or actually what I mean to say is, La Mer). Damn that’s cool.

Love seeing all the instruments spread out like this on a predominantly electronic track. Very subtle.
