So , I mostly listen to punk , hardcore punk , oi! , And the like. I dabble in metal here n there , Nile being a band I've dabbled in and am pretty much an admitted noob in their music. I've played Annihilation of the Wicked enough times to know it by heart ( cuz that lp is fuckin rad). First time hearing this song though !! And I love it! The part at or about 1:33 with that screechy sound is amazing. What a fuckin song... So now I'll check out this lp. I'm not dumb but Niles music is a bit hard to get into , it's incredibly intricate at times and more often than not I'm rewinding parts cuz I'll be like " what did he just say ? Or hear a riff that melts my mind and have to play it over... Brilliant stuff. A question though , what do you call that certain sound with the horns and percussion , they play it sometimes at the beginning or the end or even the chorus on some songs. It's like the music from some old mummy film or film about ancient Egypt, is there a term for that ? Do I make sense lol. Thx. NILE ! SEEING THEM IN OCT. can't wait.

haha exactly. Music elitism at it's finest man. Linking Park were one of my faveourite bands back in the day. Still listen to them from time to time. Agree with you man. I rather Nile though, because I'm more of a fan of the heavy and dark music they create. And the fact that they came up with original music. They made the Death Metal scene much more interesting, by combining Egyptian scales with Music.

Necrophagist are definitely more Melodic than Nile, while Nile is definitely heavier, darker and much more brutal. I rather Nile over Necrophagist because of those characteristics and my taste meet. But what he said wasn't necessarily bad against Nile. He did say Both bands are great.
