Night ranger one of the most underappreciated rock bands of the 1980s Too often categorized is a hair band Too often given very little credit Too often disregarded because of their Sunny California style rock End night ranger does have some dark songs Problems is people just don't know their catalog enough to sit there and say geez night ranger could make dark songs I thought they would a beach boys of the 1980s Night ranger gets kicked and gets shoved to the side unfairly 2 outstanding outstanding influential guitar players 2 excellent singers And a very good Keyboard asst Aside from the fact that Kelly keagy is a steady hard hitting drama And Jack blades is a good bass player Just pisses me to fucks off They just get no credit I seriously think the 1980s would not have been the 1980s without the 3 excellent night ranger albums 12 and 3 And maybe to 4th one wasn't so badd after all I think night ranger is a victum of Their own cleverness they created their own niche were let's say they were very much in the vein of Montrose even journey for that matter even journey who was obviously an older band but they had their own niche and I think they are victims of their own excellent guitar playing excellent writing skills excellent singing and they'd never been given credit I would personally rather see night ranger elevated to cult status wore something To be considered in the vein of the 1980s hard rock California doobie brothers They get no credit instead that music is relegated to being mainstream it's too touchy it's to domestic and it's wrong listen to their music understand how good a bunch of musicians they are and they will be elevated to a different status but they just get no credit because unfortunately they sing about love they sing about a lot of other things they've even sung about drugs are more than one occasion and I think they've sung about people that may be a little shady as well but they get no credit. If anybody knows the music the song can't find me a thrill it's a song about drugs the song night ranger what is that about sounds to me like a guide it goes out pussie haunting improbi even gets stoned and drunk Eddie's coming out tonight sounds like a seedy kind of guy doesn't exactly sound like a hair band to me it's just stuck in love songs And if they are a band that was primarily about touchy feely love songs they did a dam good fucken job of writing some really good music Dry think is as wrong within today as it was back in the 1980s

Dang it was awesome being a teenager in the 80s. The music was actually worth listening to. "When You Close Your Eyes" by these guys is one of my all-time favorite 80's songs. Sad kids today have no idea what good music is. The songwriting and music suck for the most part... :'(

in the spring of '86....this track was the prom theme that year. Night Ranger is STILL cool and their music will always rock.

Reminds me of a great summer and the pretty girlfriend I has so much fun.

Back when music made you happy. Nothing but smiles and good memories. This album came out about a month after I got my DL. A buddy left it in my floorboard, I grabbed it and put it in one afternoon and found out there wasn't a bad song on it. Fast forward about 20 years, every time I played This Boy Needs to Rock, my 5 year old son would make me hit repeat until we got to where we were going.

Born in August of 1975, turned 10 in 1985. When listening to this great music, I was very blessed to grow up in the 80s. I wish I could travel back to that great innocent and fun time. Long live the 80s.
