see, i interpret this song's message like this:
this guy isn't the best guy, does drugs, might do crimes here and there, drinks alcohol to get rid of his problems and never reached out for help before it was too late. imo, i see this guy saying "the devil's making me doing these bad things" as an excuse to do those bad things, until he finally ends up killing himself out of guilt for those bad things so the devil could "set him free" in his own mind.
