Nickelback - Hangnail Lyrics
My hopes just fell, and I can't see
The reason why, why there is blood on my sleeve
And all this time, I thought it mine
But it's not, it's yours and
This life you lead, like us living in a shiny ballroom
Next time you bleed, right about this time tomorrow
Next time you steal, better ask before you borrow
And I don't see too well, don't sing too well
And so I settle to scream
Just grab your shit, and leave with it
They won't make no statues of you
It's not worth it for me, gets harder every time call you
Next time you bleed, right about this time tomorrow
Next time you steal, better ask before you borrow
This label "theif", find a better title suited for you
This tidal wave, is coming down upon you
This time I've forgotten
I swear this shit was rotten
This time, I believe it
Cause I've seen the shit you're needin
It's not worth it for me, gets harder every time call you
This life you lead, like us living in a shiny ballroom
Next time you bleed, right about this time tomorrow
Next time you steal, better ask before you borrow
This label "theif", find a better title suited for you
This tidal wave, is coming down upon you

Seriously? THIS is the most hated band ever? This kicks ass!
Relistening to this album this week. All killer, no filler. Every song is a fucking belter.
This album never gets old.
Good song
This is the best song from a album
Dont forget also ''Where do i hide'' :)
My favorite song from Silver Side Up
LeAnne Ward same I love this too
I miss THIS Nickelback!
Ok you showed to the whole world you can make good pop songs! Come on!!!!!!!!!! Rock n Roll !!!!!
More riffs like this!
Literally every single album after this had hard rock songs, listen to all the albums again on spotify
@Lewis V facts
@Lewis V that's true but you can't deny they got softer.. especially No Fixed Address and even the hard ones aren't as good as the old shit. However Feed the Machine was a vast improvement
@Red Rushed I don't think they got softer though, their heaviest album is probably all the right reasons and like you mentioned feed the machine is heavier too. I know nickelback had a lot of ballad stuff over the years but after moving away from the depressing grungy stuff from their early work they have had a lot of 80s like hard rock party anthems which became popular again around 2006-2013
@Lewis V honestly as much as I like 2005 Nickelback i miss their grunge tone, I love 00s hard rock but im also a huge 90s grunge fan
This song is very underrated. It deserves more attention along with the rest of the Silver Side Up album.
I just got done saying the saame thing! Love this song, very underrated

Paul Rangituia I totally agree with you
