I just found out that this song is used in funerals but it's translated into Icelandic and it's so beautiful and makes you cry actually. My mother was half American and of all from Ohio and we didn't know that when the song was chosen.

I have mild Autism and a lady I work with used to be OK with me regardless of this, but now she hates me and won't speak to me anymore because of what I've got.

I have lived here in OHIO all of my life, and know MANY of her songs; this one I had NEVER heard until now; & I'm 47!

I used to hear this song, as a child, in the 60's. I don't know who sang it, back then. This version was from the early 70's. It's perfect! I've tried to find the version I originally heard, which was sung by a man, but I'll settle, happily, for this one.
