Hello, Newsboys! This song accurately captures the state of my soul after thinking that worldly pleasures will bring me true happiness. B-minor was a really good key to choose for this song. At timestamp 1:09, I like how you used a harpsichord to portray a greedily rich environment. At timestamp 2:13, I could actually hear pain when the words "So human, so incomplete" were sung. It was like hearing the soul say, "Lord, I yearn so desperately to be perfect, but that is impossible!" I really like this song because of its great meaning: You can tear apart your soul and leave it in great disrepair, but God will still love you and forgive you. This song is basically the Parable of The Prodigal Son's story: He had to fall apart, crash and burn, to find that his father still loved him. I was a disaster in fifth grade. I thought everyone hated me. I didn't knew what to do. I tought that I can solve my problems on my own. I tried to believe that everything will work out, but I was still afraid. I was scared that nobody will ever like me and that I will always be alone. I was scared even to have a normal conversation because I tought that I will ruin everything. I wondered why I was so lonely. Only God's love healed me. I understood that I am valuable and that God loves me. I started to see things from His perspective. If you are going thru something hard, just trust that God is there with you! God bless you all!
