I thought I'd seek out the original, and it's pretty interesting, with that spooky mix. I think Fat's Domino has the most powerful rocked up rendition, although I enjoy the downplayed feel of this, full or anxiety and tension.

The Flamin' Groovies cover is totally amazing. Even tops the original (and the unfortunate Ringo cover).

Nothing wrong with the other versions. The Flamin' Groovies version is just really right...for me. The drumming makes me happy.
I agree. Go for the Flamin' Groovies' version. It's from their iconic 1971 album 'Teenage Head'. Also check the version by Nicky Hopkins with Fats Domino.
