New Order - Disorder Lyrics

I've been waiting for a guide to come out and take me by the hand
Could these sensations make me feel the pleasure of a normal man?
These sensations barely interest me for another day
I've got the spirit, lose the feeling, take the shock away

It's getting faster now, moving faster now, it's getting out of hands
On the tenth floor, down the back stairs, it's a no man's land
Lights are flashing, cars are crashing, getting frequent now
I've got the spirit, lose the feelings, let it out somehow

What means to you, what means to me, and we will meet again
I'm watching you, I'm watching her, I'll take no pity from your friends
Who is right, who can tell, and who gives a damn right now
Until the spirit new sensation takes hold, then you know
Until the spirit new sensation takes hold, then you know
Until the spirit new sensation takes hold, then you know

I've got the spirit, but lose the feeling
I've got the spirit, but lose the feeling
Feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling, feeling

New Order Disorder Comments
  1. A.... C....

Bernard sounds gutless and weak singing the parts of JD songs where Ian would go psycho and belt it out

  2. S.... G....

    Post punk =3

  3. J.... a....

This man is a drum MACHINE!!!

  4. J.... a....

    Amazing

  5. J.... K....

    I came to watch again

    J.... K....

Superb gig and great to see this live. Did you go?

    J.... K....

polewka123 no. if i was there i will be bathed in tears til now

  6. C.... B....

They need Peter dude. Not the same energy without him running the show lol

  7. m.... k....

One of the most influential rock song ever!

  8. m.... k....

Step is the same good as 20 years old doing the song!

  9. Q.... Q....

Absolutely awful apart from stephens epic drumming , bernies vocal bloody disgraceful and out of tune, hooky is sorely missed on bass

  10. K.... A....

Not the same with Ian, but a good ode to him, we miss him.

  11. F.... O....

i cant play the video wtf

  12. s.... ....

Cudos to Stephen Morris for still be able to keep the insane tempo on the drums.

    s.... ....

    Bang on

  13. A.... N....

Sorry but this is not good.
It's like a tamed, powerless version of a great song from a random tribute band: no rage, no soul, no authenticity.
Still it's possible to cover this in an original and credibile way:

  14. O.... ....

    Great cover🎵

  15. A.... S....

Bernard Sumner doing this version of disorder is bad compared to Ian Curtis. Obviously Ian isn't around anymore but this version just doesn't live up to Joy Division classic.

  16. S.... ....

    They still ROCK!!!

  17. t.... ....

It’s not the same without Hooky

    t.... ....

Was just thinking that while watching this.

    t.... ....

Course it fucking ain't he was the heart (and soul)(sic) of the band the engine room so to speak

  18. G.... M....

When Joy Division played it, it was terrifying. This is fucking limp, lame and awful.

  19. J.... M....

Bernard should leave the Joy Division tribute to Hooky. #TeamHooky

  20. G.... M....

Careful lads, you are turning into your own tribute act.

  21. N.... N....

They did get new "life" into Love Will Tear Us Apart by changing the key to fit Bernards vocals better. Here it just doesn't work. His vocals just sound like he has no emotion behind it.

My favorite Joy Division song here. It's nice they want to play it but it has to sound like he means it.

    N.... N....

i think he was trying to mimick ians voice which was emotionless

  22. M.... P....

Enough crooky cock sucking, nice of the band to throw these back into the set list for fans, best they've sounded since 2001

  23. J.... F....

    Disorder was simple yet complex..

    J.... F....

Jack's Film Orchard Simplicity in its most complicated state🎵🎶

    J.... F....

    So so deep and atmospheric

  24. D.... O....

feels like he's phoning it in on stage

and the bassist looks like such a poser. no way i'd pay for this, would rather watch old youtube clips w/ Hooky in the band for free

    D.... O....

Live in Finsbury park is my ABSOLUTE favorite. 2002. DEFINITELY CHECK IT OUT!

  25. B.... D....

Highest paid New Order tribute band. Sry, just the truth! Even when I saw them in '93 they had lost that certain something, BUT, I had the best damn time of my life 😎 Reading festival, New Order = maybe the biggest mosh pit i've been in! Awesome 🤗

  26. f.... h....

    Rip ian curtis (1956-1980)

  27. H.... P....

    So sad!...

  28. T.... M....

Ha dynamite......im a nipper again...AWESOME as the septics say.

  29. E.... D....

    Ian legrand

  30. A.... T....

It's just not the same without Ian.

    A.... T....

Alex Thorne i bet they'd agree with you dude.

    A.... T....

Ian's voice is much better and his ability to convey emotion through it can't be matched.

    A.... T....

    jplb96 exactly

    A.... T....

    Alex Thorne Or Peter.

  31. R.... B....

    Hooky does this much better

    R.... B....

Robert Brown theres like a whole part of this that hooky does that they didn't play

    R.... B....

Hell no, Ian is much better

    R.... B....

I still prefer Peter Hook playing this song than Bernard Summer. But of course, nothing compares to Ian.

    R.... B....

@Rafael Ramone I wish Hookie would reunite with them.Although I love the Light, and have seen them play both times they came to New Orleans.I am still waiting for New Order to come here.

  32. O.... H....

    Where's Hooky?

    O.... H....

Cortana no he left, tried to sue them after they continued without him, and started his own band and literally said he made it his goal to screw over new order now hahaha I wish they would settle things out at this point in their lives but no :-/

    O.... H....

No offense or anything, but I am still amazed how people haven't noticed that Hooky left. It happened 10 YEARS ago, so it's not that recent anymore.

    O.... H....

Ignorance stopped amazing me 10 years ago.

    O.... H....

@Haley Yu it's be nice to have them all be friends again. they're not getting any younger :(. i just want them to not be bitter towards each other before it's too late.

  33. M.... B....

    An amazing gig.

  34. Q.... D....

    My favorite of theirs

  35. C.... e....

    Ian Curtis i miss you

    C.... e....

  36. M.... S....

    Just so bloody good.

    M.... S....
