Absolutely love the song. Her vocal range is just phenomenal when she shifts into the high note of the chorus (youuUUUuuUuuUuU)....and yes the song just takes me away on an amazing journey that I cant really describe. But it's like feeling intense love, at the same time missing someone I don't know, and being transported into some place in the not top distant future cyberpunk ish.

Mostly anachronistic music in historic films does not work! Ultimately depends on the nature of the film. Polanski's use of The Third Ear Band in Macbeth works brilliantly, Coppola's anachronistic music in "Marie Antoinette" heightens the fact she has no knowledge of the French Court using empty aesthetics to make a poor film. Have not seen this version of the Great Gatsby but the original was a masterpiece. This riveting song, and the music of Nick Cave, absolutely fits the gritty industrial ethos of The Peaky Blinders. In that series in the jazz clubs they used abstract jazz - a wonderful way to keep the historic character but warp the style so fitting for the chaos and raw emotion.
