Nelson, Ricky - My One Desire Lyrics
I wanna walk with ya, talk with ya, all about love
'Cause there's no greater time than tonight
When I get you under the stars above
Put your lips to mine with your kiss of fire, woah yeah
Just to be with you baby tonight is my one desire
I want a date with ya, would be great with ya baby tonight
When I get you in my arms tonight
Everything's gonna turn out right
Put your lips to mine with your kiss of fire, woah yeah
Just to be with you baby tonight is my one desire
All the times I've wasted baby, be my steady date
I wanna make up for lost time tonight and I just can't wait
Put your lips to mine with your kiss of fire, woah yeah
Just to be with you baby tonight is my one desire
All the times I've wasted baby, be my steady date
I wanna make up for lost time tonight and I just can't wait
Put your lips to mine with your kiss of fire, woah yeah
Just to be with you baby tonight is my one desire
Just to be with you baby tonight is my one desire
Just to be with you baby tonight is my one desire

Nelson, Ricky My One Desire Comments
The best of all is his "Oh, ye"!!!!! 💘
This song makes me disappointed with music today, pop sucks
So did Johnny Burnette originally write the song, I'm guessing?
Some really tasty guitar by 21 year old phenom James Burton. Burton was a true pioneer and groundbreaking guitarist. Setzer, bless his heart, is very good but pretty much just re-branded the greats like Burton, Eddie Cochran, Grady Martin, etc.
Amazing record which stands the test of time, this guy was an incredible artist. The 50's music scene had so much variety boasting some of the greatest artists of all time influencing every decade since.
The stray cats one is better but i still like this one

No, he is Ricky Nelson of 50's - 60's, 70's and 80's
He died in an airplane.
he is michael jackson of the 50's-60's.
I agree..a great Rock & Roll song..very underrated..maybe the initial recording was less than pristine, and this may have held it back. This stereo posting is really good though, helps present it in a more favourable light..well done
Even after almost 50 years when I first heard & dug this song, I listen to it & still wonder why the hell it never reached the heights it should have reached. I love a bunch of Rick Nelson songs & often play & sing 'em on my acoustic guitar, Tunes like this one & Oh yeah,I'm in love are forever rockin' classics in my book. Actually, I love them more now than when I was 10y/o.
Thanks for posting. The stereo quality is dynamite !
