Neil Young - Mellow My Mind Lyrics

Baby mellow my mind,
Make me feel like a
schoolboy on good time,
Jugglin' nickels and dimes,
Satisfied with the
fish on the line.

I've been down the road
and I've come back
Lonesome whistle
on the railroad track
Ain't got nothing on those
feelings that I had.

Something so hard to find,
A situation that can
casualize your mind.

I've been down the road
and I've come back
Lonesome whistle
on the railroad track
Ain't got nothing on those
feelings that I had.

Baby mellow my mind,
Make me feel like a
schoolboy on good time,
Jugglin' nickels and dimes,
Satisfied with the
fish on the line.

Neil walks into the auto tune generation playing this song grabbing his balls saying "auto tune deez nuts" as he takes a rip off a dank fatty

Simply Red took this to a Serious Level. I'm a fan of Neil's lyrics, but his voice was never a strong thing. He's a writer.

  6. R.... T....

A song that attempts to relax a troubled mind... and many times it has worked for me!!!

Before an abhorrent crew of loveless miscreants who do not appreciate this albums abstract beauty and gallant gallows humor I submit my pity for thee.

The Tonight's the Night album is kind of an acquired taste, at least for certain people. I know because I'm one of them. I've been a lover of Harvest (still am of course), along with After the Gold Rush and On the Beach, which have been two other NY favorites of mine for a long time. I've owned the Harvest album since 1982, the year I turned 15, but I didn't ever listen to Tonight's The Night until about 1994 (when I found a sealed out of print vinyl copy for a couple dollars).
Even though I didn't like it much at all at the time, I'm glad now I never got rid of it. Being a big music fan and record collector for a long time, I find it hard to throw out records unless I know for sure what I'm doing.
About 2 years ago, I listened to it for the first time in about 20 years and this whole album had really grown on me. It was really great! I guess you can say it does have an 'abstract beauty' to it. Anyway, those who presently don't like it ought to try listening to it a few times over a few months, or years time and I'll bet it will grow on you.
