Personally I don't believe in a bad Buffalo Springfield song, at least for "A Child's Claim To Fame" off their second album. The band were ahead of their time.

Definitely reflects the agony of waiting....

Furay and Marty Balin are grossly overlooked vocalists.

Steven Stills' measured, yet passionate singing leaves me breathless by the song's end. So simple, and elegant, it's incredible that this song is on the same album as Mr. Soul.

I listened to this song after having found out my friend died

Perceived as weak, maybe, because there were so many slow tempo love ballads. Personally, it's one of my favorite old albums. It wasn't all just Stills; Furay and Messina shared the songwriting.

And I agree those saying this is a good album, since I think they never made such a thing as a bad record, they were too good for that!

Weak? This is my favorite Buffalo Springfield album. Preternaturally mature -- and timeless.

Who are these people you refer to who think it weak? It's a gorgeous record, just VERY eclectic and pieced together by Messina cause the boys were breaking up. Track for track, VERY strong.

It took me awile to get into this album but i really rate it highly now...40 years later!

Been listening to their songs since the first and they are all great. Some take listening to a few times before you realize it. Had they not broken up so early their songs would be more famaliar to everyone. Thanks for posting it.
