Neil Diamond - We Got Love Lyrics
(Yes we got love
Yes we got love)
Take a boy like me and a girl like you
Nothing in this world that we can't do
'Cause we got love
Let them say the things
That they want to say
Long as I have you everything's OK
'Cause we got love
Yes we got love
Baby we got love
Why would the try to keep us apart
Can't they see
Tho' we are young
Will always be
Baby we got love
That's the way that we feel
And some day they'll find
That it's really real
'Cause we got love
Yes we got love
Yes we got love

My favorite NeilDiamond songs are Holly Holy and Brothers Love Travelin' Show.
GOOD, in all the fullness of the word.
This was one of the big hits of Neil Diamond in 1966 I was 6 back then like many songwriters of the 60's Neil Diamond had alot of success a wedding social without a Neil Diamond song wouldn't seem complete in my opinion one of the all time greats.
This song plays in my head everytime I look at my wonderful girlfriend
Dude, if she's as good as you say, treat her right. I did, and my "girl" has been by my side for almost 25 years.
Anyone listening due to anchorman
Anyone else here because of Stephen King's novel "Revival"?

Sad this classic masterpiece wasn't featured in Once upon a time in Hollywood😎😌😣
The backing vocals are money. Key.

Best Neil Diamond song ever!
"She torched Neil?! You're right, she's a monster."
Songwriters Ellie Greenwich and Jeff Barry had been Neil Diamond’s mentors and produced this song. Theirs are the backing vocals. Notice there are no drums, only handclaps? This recording was the demo! When they added horns and drums. the new recording just didn’t capture the same spirit. Listen to Diamond’s “In My Lifetime” to hear that recording.
Despite being labeled "pop" nowadays this was one of the most played songs in 1966 on AM radio.
the perfect pop song... as good as they get
No, you can't stand still while this music is playing! Neil Diamond's best song IMO!
Being raised by your grandparents aint always the worst. Ive got a great taste in music😜thanks nanny & papa for showing me the good stuff!

Right after I heard this song for the first time, I changed my mind about Neil Diamond. This is one of those
instant classic type of songs that just stormed the country from coast to coast. And classic never goes out of
style!!!

Stood at bus stop resisting the urge to start grooving to this classic
Stop driving on the highway, get out and dance. People honk.
who says Cherry the way Niel Diamond does? love this song. between folk and rock and motown, the best of all worlds musically. speaks for its generation perfectly. Magnificent
It’s a travesty that this guys not in the rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet
The R&R 'hall of fame' is broken. Def Leppard finally got in...while they pack it with crap every year.
This IS a great classic. Neil should have been in the HOF just for making Sweet Caroline be the song of the Red Sox.
What about "Chicago and America" never getting in the HOF....screw the rock and roll hall of fame!!
Neil Diamond was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2011. Wikipedia can be your friend if you let it.
@Rich Brake Chicago is in!
Izzy love's rock 🎸 💘 Enjoy.
Amy and Howard brought me here.
Despite being labeled "pop" nowadays this was one of the most played songs in 1966 on AM radio.
1966 when pop, rock and good music meant the same thing
I'm kind of a big deal... I have many leatherbound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
ONE OF HIS FINEST!!!!
2018 anyone??
I love this song
Always.
"R---O---C---K in the USA!" John Cougar Melllencamp ca. 1985
And what I like about you
Yell
classic 60s song--love the guitar and piano combo
Yeahhhhh
one of the many uplifting songs by Neil, where you just snap your fingers ,tap your feet or sing along, just like "Hey Louise"
I just realized that there are no drums on this track.
Ellie Greenwich singing backup.... Bert Berns named it ....see Here Comes The Night by Joel Selvin (book)
Reminds me of "A little bit me, little bit you" by the Monkees
Neil wrote and sang background vocals on that song, and he also wrote 'I'm a Believer' for the Monkees as well.
Yes. He wrote many songs for the Monkees!
wow....I never thought of that. Explains why they are both my favorite songs.
Yes he did!
Neil wrote The Monkees biggest hit and one of the biggest songs of the 60s - I'm A Believer....one of the very greatest songwriters of all time.
This version is way superior to the outtake we're forced to hear on commercial radio! Thanks for uploading, adamtrng!
Original will always sound better! Cause its when we heard it first.
Fuk ya family

The Brill Building, 1619 Broadway on 49th Street in Manhattan. Oh to have been a fly on the wall ...
splat ! got him !
Seeing Paul Simon and Neil Diamond honing the craft that they would master. There isn't much I wouldn't give for that chance.
I heard this in a movie!
Anchorman perhaps :P
I heard this the day I was inducted into the Army, at Fort Dix. After mess the base piped in rock until lights out. It was cool. Not the Army, the music. Anyone else remember this song down at Dix or over in the Nam?
I never get tired of this classic I probably heard it a1000 time's since I first got the record 45 rpm back in the late 60's early 70's I was only a 10 year old kid with one of my first girlfriend she was eleven now about 58 her name Sherry
Agreed....I always find myself going back to his earlier recordings, which are still relevant today. Withstood the test of time.
But if their was gonna be a kui then it should be now! Now now now now! !!! To many lines been crossed already.. N I'm fukin furious with alot of people out here... No, you can't stand still while this music is playing! Neil Diamond's best song IMO!
Best song, man!
First time hearing this song was this year on a hot summer night, was just leaving my girlfriends house and decided to walk back home as I missed the city bus. I had my phone playing a random playlist of music and this came on. See we sorta live on the outskirts of the city where it's mix of rural and urban, so I was walking along an old abandoned railroad line at midnight when it came on and it was quite the scene, I tell ya, felt as if I was a youngster in the 60s or something.
Agreed!
Learn Through Music and Lyrics!!! -
Sweet memories of Connie Elena. One of Neil's best songs.
