Neil Diamond - Love To Love Lyrics
Love's a thing that needs wants to thrive on
Then it grows
At least that's what I've been told
You can't love someone
If you find that all you get in return
They say you need love to love
You gotta have love to love
They all say it works that way
But if it's true
Why do I love you
Seems like you keep tryin' to break me
You do things designed just to make me cry
And I've heard if warm lips don't touch you
How much you try
They say you need love to love
You gotta have love to love
They all say it works that way
But if it's true
Why do I love you
They say you need love to love
They all say it works that way
But if it's true
Why do I love you
Why do I love you
Like I do

Neil Diamond Love To Love Comments
Monkees were better
Mr RockNRoll Both good versions though the first I heard was the Monkees.
Thank you for sharing. I love him so much.
This track is from Neil's first album, The Feel Of Neil. I must have been one of the few people in the UK to own it, as he was unknown here then. Great song.
one of my all time fav Diamond tunes. wonder if that is Neil playing the guitar
ginny white learning on guitar, such a great SONG!!!
This song was recorded by The Monkees, but wasn't realeased until the late 80"s on one of their Missing Links album. In 2016 The Monkees recorded a new album called Good Times and they took Davy Jones vocals from the original recording, tweaked it a little and had it be one of the songs on the album. It's a great album, btw. Here's a link to that version.

It's great to discover a "new" song by Neil.
That is one I haven't heard and I thought I heard all of them. A treasure from a young Neil Diamond.
