35 years ago "HOT AUGUST NIGHT" made the music World HHOOOTTT. Seems akin to the "Rolling Stones" Neil Diamond has not lost his passion and voice for music .Old Wine in New bottle in 2008.
Neil is such a class act!!! I was fortunate enough to see him with a dear friend in Omaha, NE in November 1999. The venue added extra seating and we had no clue where we would be seated until we got there. We were 2nd row! Fantastic concert!
After 35 years, his passion for singing and performing were an inspiration. His own story is done too soon.
Neil, my favorite singer, songwriter of all time, one of the very greatest! The variety, the voice, the passion, the energy, the sensuality the performance, the man, the great looks, the skill in writing such a huge number of vastly different songs, both music and words, a great feat. Hot August Night my favorite Album, l have two copies in case l wear one out. L think it's the best album by any Artist. I saw Neil Diamond perform at the Music Bowl in Melbourne, Australia in the 60's, and remember it vividly to this day. Thanks Neil, and the very best wishes to you with your health problem. I was so sad to hear of it and had been looking forward to your upcoming Aussie Tour. May your unique music keep coming. God bless.

Nah sorry you can't beat the original, i just don't feel the intense feeling of emotions and exciting electrical charge in the air that the original had, no comparison, same guy but different feel, back then at the greek he was young and out to prove his craft and boy did he 🤯, but also it was his then band with the string section, guitar and drums that also can't be replicated to this day, hot August night prologue/ crunchy granola sweet, the build up on the album still gets me right deep in my soul everytime i hear it, i will remember him for that, NOT THIS.
