Neil Diamond - Hey Louise (Movie Version) Lyrics

[From the movie "The Jazz Singer"]

Hey mon cherie, if I take you home
Will you make me plead?
My sweet amour,
If I come to close,
Will you close the door?

Oh my Louise,
Do you know my name?
I remember yours
And I know what you need
What you need my Louise

Hey my cherie
If I take you home
Will you make me plead?
My sweet amour
If I come to close
Will you close the door?

Oh my Louise
Do you know my name
I remember yours
And I know what you need
What you need my Louise
Do it gang, yes

Hey mon cherie
If I take you home
Will you make me plead?
Oh mon amour
If I come to close,
Will you close the door?

Oh my Louise
Do you know my name
I remember yours
And I know what you need
What you need my Louise

Oh my Louise
Do you know my name?
I remember yours
And I know that you need
What you need my Louise
Need, what you need my Louise
What you need my Louise
Yeah, yes.......

  2. George Foryan

Why this song from this movie was never made into a single like many others from this film I will never understand....This is one of the best Neil Diamond songs ever!!

    Todd V

    Completely agree...love this song.

  3. TODD M

I'm still hunting for this movie on DVD.  It's hard to find.  This scene was so energetic!  It's my favourite song in the soundtrack.

  4. Mark S

I don't care what Siskel and Ebert thought, this was not that bad of a movie.

  5. Ed McDonald

  7. Ken Booker

Neil has been going for over40 years I saw him at Wembley in the 70 s a great romantic film .

  8. Joe Rochowiak

I bet that bitch Riff regrets it. For Jess, when he began having success, I bet he thought, "I don't feel sorry for her, I feel empty for her!" She wouldn't know what success was if it hit her in the face!

    Wendy Roberts

    wendy I love the gùy

  9. TODD M

    The title is "Hey Louise"

  10. whitewitchoz

When I was 8 in 1980 every time my mom would take me to see Dolly in 9 to 5 ...We had to go see The Jazz Singer... because I think my mom had a thing for the Jewish Elvis.

  11. Dave Carew

I will never forget my date at this movie, after the laugh stopped following Molly saying, "He settled for pizza." "Oooooooooooooh hahaha." Cracked me up!

  12. sandinyourshoes

Jess just needed to live out his dream. Heading west was the answer! If only Riff didn't fight him. She just pushed him more closely into Molly's life.

  13. Victoria Reece

then why do make ;ove to me

  14. Jo Thompson

  18. weallbfree

Definitely one of the most underrated classic movies!  Great story, well told, awesome soundtrack, even if the acting (other than Laurence Olivier) wasn't the greatest.

    Real Night Wolf

i think neil did a great job!!

    Dave Carew

The fun factor and the music is OFF THE HOOK! Greatness.

    Renee Borovitch

I think Olivier (and he was ONE of the greatest actors) was so miscast. I struggled to see and hear him sound like this Rabbi with a German accent and inflections reminiscent of Nazi Germany.

  19. Tracy Downey

Piece of trivia, the mastermind of most of these songs beside Neil Diamond was not other than Bob Gaudio, member and songwriter of the Four Seasons.

  20. Field Marshal

Lucy is that you, oh ricky? Who understands this?

  21. wendy draper

    Great xx

  22. Scot harper
