i really thought that ya'll were true to God and this is just disappointing to me that ya'll sold out and now sing this music.. so I will not be listening to your music any longer.... sad really!

They've always done some pretty rocking songs. This is a lot like some of their prior music, too. They're still true to God--they can be good Christians and still do songs like this. They're trying to broaden horizons and bring new people to God who wouldn't be listening to other, more tame Christian music. :) They just have a unique approach!

I was just looking into this. This song is more personal. But what about "Testify" = John 7:37, Prov 35:6; 1 Peter 5:7; Psalms 42:27, Isaiah 44:22 . "Money & Fame" - all over Psalms & the Gospels; "Hardlove" = Romans 5:4, Acts 20:29, Matthew 10:16 - "Clear" & "Stay Home Tonight" what about Songs of Solomon? This is like all their other songs where if you look for it, the scriptural references are there. The one song has one line that is definitely not scriptural, where the man makes promises to a woman, because Jesus told us to not make promises. Otherwise, I see a lot of stuff that is true to scripture.

Maybe, just maybe, this is the very path upon which God has placed these Christian men. Really, look at what this band has been through over the past several years. They've been through the fire, they've been refined, they've held firm to their Christian faith in their God. Perhaps that same God is taking them to this place to use them in mighty powerful ways because they recognized that they are nothing without Him and renewed their commitment. God uses people in ways we do not fully comprehend until the work is completed. Look at Abraham, Moses, King David. Or Solomon. Any of the 12 Apostles. Mary Magdalene. ALL of them were judged harshly and fell far short of any man's opinion. Yet all of them were used mightily by the Lord. Your choice to stop listening. You have to hold fast to your beliefs. But the judgment belongs to our God. Him and Him alone.

+Nathan Thoren yeah, I'm pretty sure Christians don't go around saying Jesus Christ all the time, Just to sound Christian. u don't have to scream Jesus everywhere u go for Jesus to use you. All you need is to open up to him, and come as u are.

Reading these I can't help but notice that everyone missed 'Garden' a direct and emotional reference to Christ's coming suffering the night before His crucifixion. My personal favorite. However, I can only think of a few songs that do not explicitly relate to the life of a follower of Jesus. It's just real music, it's inspiring and even without having met these men my guess is they're genuinely devoted Christians. Following Jesus, really following Him makes you real. Nothing but love for you Needtobreathe.

Personally, my son, who is not a believer (yet) discovered Need to Breathe. Added The Outsiders album to my IPod from his music list. He was listening to scripture and he didn't even know it. The vocal and acoustics in this band are unique and my feet start tapping. I listen to a lot of secular music. It's what I grew up on. Need to Breathe crosses the barriers. I am grateful for their influence.

This one is great! Reminds me of older songs like Cops, Reckoning, and Maybe They're Onto Us! I love the fact that their sound evolves so much...yet they still hit us with this rockin' stuff!
