Life is bewitching in its beauty, yet is filled with such dilemma. This film really got to me.

When I Am Easy To Find came on I started full on sobbing

this made me feel more alone and afraid of the future than never but I love it

Once a flood do I comment on Youtube videos, but off to see The National tomorrow I thought I'd give this a watch. Enjoyed it. Looked at some of the Comments (happens less than once a flood) and thought I'd give it a go, as they seem to mostly be from a feminine and very emotional perspective. What springs to mind is the John Lennon observation "Life is what happens to you, while you're busy making other plans". Maybe not an obvious connection or it would have been mentioned already, but reflection and then regret comes across to me. See you next flood.

Sorry for my ignorance, but I'd like to know what's the meaning of the using of colour. Is the colour sequence random such as life or there is a whole new meaning behind it?
Apart from this, this audiovisual piece of art has hit me hard. Thank you for this experience.

I listened to the album on repeat since it was released, but didn't see the film until now. Seeing how the songs were used--same and different--made it feel like I was seeing an old friend in a new light. Both the film (acting and direction) and music are lovely and a treasure.

Ahhhh?? Really like the music of The National a lot, however, this film is a pretentious and somewhat boring mess. Preferred Tom Berninger's film.

Have to say it, though I love the album version, the messier "I am Easy to Find" version for this film is just a better song. The messiness somehow adds to the heartbreak of the track.

To represent a person from the toddler to the old age of only one person without a grand mask and with so much soul, I think this is the Championsleague of acting. The only question I have left is, what do The National mean with the title
"I am easy to find". What is easy to find? The girl/woman? Life? Love? Personally I think, if you want to live a good life, it is important to have spiritual guideline. Like it is said in the old Jazzstandart "Nature Boy": "the greatest thing you ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."

@Henrique Ferreirinha Baptista trust me 0:28 up to 2:10 is a version of Quiet Light (hear second line at the start) featured here only and after the drum fill (2:13) it switches to the film version of The Pull Of You

this life is what I fear the most. I don't want to live my life like this.

started crying towards the half of the movie and its been 45 min since I watched it and im still crying. Im 23 and yet I feel like I regret so much. So much time was wasted doing things i didn't actually wanted to do and wasting time with people i didn't quite wanted to be around that didn't care if I was dead or alive. Im glad I had some sort of awakening this year. I didn't like to take photos and now im capturing every moment I have with the few but loveable friends of mine and with my parents whom I love so much. I don't have pics of many birthdays that I preferred to stay inside the studio composing or using drugs alone, don't have any photos of my high school graduation, my first concert with my band, etc. Have wasted so much energy doing drugs, getting drunk, stoned and not enjoying the pleasure of sobriety through my most cherished moments. But from now on I hope things will be different. (sry about bad English, not my main language)
