Napalm Death - Life And Limb Lyrics

Push the envelope further from reality
Banishing the hope, interrogating strategies
Inhumane aggression, isolation jails
Forcing a confession when all else fails

To stand in judgement of a so-called offender
That represents immortal behaviour

Push the envelope from the civilised norm
Push the envelope, catastrophic storm
Stripped of life and limb by this torture germ
Stripped of life and limb just for standing firm

Naked and bound, pain and consideration
Extremely profound, grotesque cooperation
Cruelly implied, no sense of divide
Particular intensity, deception and lies

To stand in judgement of a so-called offender
That represents immortal behaviour

Government task force questioning the source
Widespread abuse
Innocent victims of power misuse

Push the envelope from the civilised norm
Push the envelope, catastrophic storm
Stripped of life and limb by this torture germ
Stripped of life and limb just for standing firm

Psychological intimidation
Traditional methods of interrogation
Polluting our culture, it's prolific, outright
For nothing more than specific insight

A dire killing thrust
To satisfy the lust
When beaten to their death
Lingering aftermath

@Hellsgate12345 Yeah, musically they have changed alot from what they used to be. But from their 20 years of making music they have never made a "sell out move"

@atal0071 totally agree with what you say. I 'blame' (for want of a better word) the U.S. Florida scene influence circa 1990 and also liklihood that it took Mitch, Jesse et al to really get to grips with UK grindcore and understand Napalm. I think they do now, and having spoken to Mitch and Danny they think like UK grinders but with other classic influence. Napalm's take is the wider audience may have missed some great work with the 90's albums but i think they didn't do what time waits does

    @atal0071
are u implying that they began making better metal after Jesse Pintado R.I.P. left?

I rescind my previous comment on this album having listened to it fully and this song in particular. This is representative of the napalm i so fondly headbutted people to, in my own words "industrial/death" metal, good show and chuff....

I partly regret this post as its an idiosyncrasy but genre is essentially a fusion of Death Metal + Crust Punk = Grindcore
