There's no doubt in hindsight the track was a little deep for a boyband's debut album, but in our defense we were very young. Girl in tears was co written with Billy Steinberg and is actually one of the few mytown songs I would ever actually listen to myself, purely on merit. (There are also many reasons why a girl (or a guy) might cry amid a moment of intimacy without it necessarily being related either to violence- or force... Betrayal is one of a million off the top of my head.
