here xterman; My Dying bride is my favorite group no doubt. they are telling me and i love them. When I was sad, im always listen to this group, when I was stuck in these feelings, im always randomly play my dying bride and think that Aaron will listens to me and knows my feelings. Maybe I never met Aaron but i have always been his friend.

I wonder what the meaning/story behind this song is.

The trick to writing good lyrics is to write a story cryptically enough so the song isnt exclusive to one persons one story but not too cryptic so the listener/reader doesnt know what the fuck is going on. You the listener want to relate so if the writer is to specific then odds are you cant. Lyrically there isnt too many better bands than MDB.

It's about love. Who that love is directed to, however, remains a mystery.

Will never regret it and My Dying Bride haven't wrote a single bad album ever since they formed.... and this fact alone cannot be said about every other big band out there.

An Amazing period for the band. The angel and the dark river is one of their best works(the best one,maybe),no doubt.

I guess that they have enough talent to gift us with more deep and meaningful songs like this one in the future.

You are absolutely right. There are tons of good stuff reliesed nowadays. It is annoying when people do complain that the only good music was back in the 80s and so on. I do listen to Swallow the Sun myself, they are really good. So as Opeth, Obscura, November's Doom, Anathema, Beyond Creation - all of them relitavely new bands.

Mainstream music was always rubbish. We all talk about the good ol' days of music, but don't notice how much crap was played back then as well. There's still good music out there, even now. You just gotta search for it. If you're interested in death/doom, there's this great band called Swallow the Sun. You should check them out.
