My Bloody Valentine - You Never Should Lyrics
Twisting round inside
My heart is burning up, my head divide
But you control these feelings I can't hide
Tried to change my mind
Until the end, there's nothing in control of you
Oh, you took a long time
Yeah, 'cause you probably could
Ooh, you said the fault was mine
Yeah, but you never should
Breaking down again
You're running little circles through your hair
I could walk away now and you wouldn't care
Don't look so surprised
I turn around and see madness in your eyes
Oh, you took a long time
Yeah, 'cause you probably could
Ooh, you said the fault was mine
Yeah, but you never should

My Bloody Valentine You Never Should Comments
Drums are crazy insane on this album
This is one of those songs that I wish I had written.
THIS IS THEIR BEST ALBUM, LOVELESS IS WELL THOUGHT AND WELL PRODUCED, BUT LACK THE YOUTHFUL URGENCY CONTAINED IN THIS ONE, + ALL THE COMPLEX SHIELD'S LAYERS ARE ALREADY THERE, AND BELINDA VOICE IS MAGICAL AS EVER - SO PLEASE DONT BREAK MY BALL WITH ALL YOUR ''CLASSIC LOVELESS ALBUM''' sorry for yelling <3
Agree with this 100%
I remember being in love.
Me too man, me too...
maybe my favorite song ever
ok yea it is
Just saw them in philly and they played this song!! I was sooooo siked!!!! Kinda couldn’t believe it! The 15 year old inside wanted to start moshing!
FringeSalon1728 hey i was at the same show!! :) you never should was my favorite from that night. just want to relive 0:24 - 0:38 when they played it live over & over lol
This tune destroys me every time! :)
This song is the perfect combination of moaning guitars and angry riffs -- oh yeah, and don't forget the ineffable greatness. Anybody who can feel this song understands a part of me.
always admired the bass player
Does the chorus remind anybody else of Comforably Numb?
masterpiece ♥
2:06 - 2:12 the exact moment of our collective climax
My favorite "guitar solo" of all time
cum on feel the noise..!!
The bass makes this song.
the whole band is build around that rock solid bass
Everything makes this song.
1:58 - 2:12 gives me a feeling i cant really replicate with anything else
Sing by Blur comes close. The noise that builds up in that song is fantastic.
That segment of music has impacted my writing more than anything else I've heard. I know exactly what you mean. Favorite moment of favorite track of favorite album.
does there anybody here know the chords? Thanks :-)
Mostly just standard chords with the third frets on the high B and E pressed.
this is Killin me.:)
Brilliant and what a track !!
I remember this song when I saw them in concert a long time ago, I have never been the same after that.
It is fucking electric isn't it? THAT solo is just a complete sonic wave which consumes you. Infinite horizon of sound.
One of my favorites.
Imagine being at an MBV concert high af...
Oh my God, those guitars at the beginning of the song!! Kevin Shields is a brillaint guitarist.
Belinda too
I'm seeing these guys on Monday and I'm so fucking hype! Got my dub and earplugs!
This awesome track has the ability to make you happy when u listen to it! If you're pissed off, listen to it and i'm pretty sure it'll make u feel way better
It's really different from anything I've ever heard from that era. Soft as Snow is so weird (it doesn't have a real guitar riff), but it works in a really positive way once you get used to that strange sense of being disoriented and confused by it.
and sister
isn't anything and you're living all over me.
this is true
There doesn't exist a single song on Isn't anything that isn't either a masterpiece or really good
it's my fav off the album.. searing gear changing wall of distortion..perfection.. 88-89
I think you mean the Jesus and Mary Chain
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God - All the Glory to JESUS CHRIST. May God save you !
MessageWarning what the fuck
ALLAHU ACKBAR ALLAU ACKBAR
Come on, feel the noise with My Bloody Valentine!
Am listening to this before I buy, or read any reviews for the remastered version of Isn't Anything. Am stupidly excited and a bit apprehensive about hearing the remastering..... really hoping it doesn't lose the exquisite scratch-inside-your-head quality of the original.
God I love this track.
Guitar bands..good times
To listen to this with a woman at night on a lonely beach or on a road near a forest... Bliss
eccezionale, devo ancora capire da quale galassia provengano
We used to walk around my local village/town (near-ish Chester, England) at night with this song (and other MBV) blaring out of my ghetto blaster 1989/91- always felt on top of the fcking world - funny watching the dance music crowd in the square looking over rather confused and sort of 'admiring' at us. This song is right at the heart of My Bloody, for me. Emotional looking back - seems like yesterday.....
it's the songs like this and on the EPs that make me kinda feel bad for MBV for spending so much time and nearly bankrupting for Loveless. haha
@SuperZdarlight
Agreed. I never get bored of this one.
You never should...play this at low volume
It's so energetic!!! I just wanna run and jump about!! Whenever this comes on in my car i have to restrain myself from driving like a maniac and settle with playing drums on the steering wheel. Definitely one of my favorites from MBV.
this makes me feel 17 again *sigh*
it doesnt matter the place the hour the wheather everytime i hear this song comes to my mind this words..(with the coolest bass line and a beautiful chorus behind it )
OHHHHHH YOU TOOOOK A LOONGG TIMEEEE
YEAHHHHHHH 'CAUSE YOU PROBABLY COULD
OOOOOoooo YOU SAID THE FAAAult isss mine
YEAAHHHHH BUT YOUUU NEVERR SHOULDDDDD!
It's a song that makes you work but by god is it worth it. So much harmony behind the dischord and static
Amazing song from an amazing band
Loveless is good for it's swirling and psychadelic guitar sounds but Isn't Anything is so very energetic and just a psychadelic. I'm a noise fiend, I love these scratchy, tortured guitar sounds as much as thouse thick, creamy loveless tones. But loveless gets stale if you listen to it constantly.
Push me back aside, i thought that was the lyric
Me too :). This And You Made Me Realise EP are better than Loveless for me.
thanks for uploading!!!!
